Tennis is a racket sport that is played either individually against a single opponent ( singles) or between two teams of two players each ( doubles). Each player uses a tennis racket that is strung with cord to strike a hollow rubber ball covered with felt over or around a net and into the opponent's court. Biography Tennis career A left-handed player from Manchester, Grunfeld won the British Under-18 Indoor Championship as a 16 year old in 1984. Her ITF titles include the $25,000 event in her home town of Manchester in 1991, where she beat Irina Spîrlea en route to a win in the final against Samantha Smith. Sutton is the principal town in the London Borough of Sutton in South London, England. It lies on the lower slopes of the North Downs, and is the administrative headquarters of the Outer London borough.
