''Money Moron'' is a Canadian television series hosted by Gail Vaz-Oxlade Gail Vaz-Oxlade (born June 18, 1959) is a Jamaican Canadians, Jamaican-Canadian financial screenwriter, writer and television personality. Vaz-Oxlade hosts the Canadians, Canadian television series ''Til Debt Do Us Part'', ''Princess (TV series), .... Similar to her first two shows, '' Til Debt Do Us Part'' and '' Prince$$'', Vaz-Oxlade helps people with money and debt problems. In Money Moron, a "moron" is nominated by someone to get help to be more financially responsible. If they follow through and do all of the challenges Vaz-Oxlade gives them, they will receive up to $10,000. The purpose is not just to solve their money problems but to heal the relationship between the person nominated and the one who nominated them. Gail Vaz-Oxlade
Gail Vaz-Oxlade (born June 18, 1959) is a Jamaican Canadians, Jamaican-Canadian financial screenwriter, writer and television personality. Vaz-Oxlade hosts the Canadians, Canadian television series ''Til Debt Do Us Part'', ''Princess (TV series), Princess'' and, most recently, ''Money Moron''. Vaz-Oxlade is also a regular columnist for Yahoo! Canada Finance. Previously, she was a regular feature writer for ''The Globe and Mail'', ''Chatelaine (magazine), Chatelaine'' magazine, ''IE: Money'' and MoneySense.ca, among others. Gail most recently ventured into the divorce realm by offering financially based divorce services through The Common Sense Divorce. Career Vaz-Oxlade began her career after moving to Canada, working as an administrative assistant and later taking a job in marketing. ''Til Debt Do Us Part'' (also stylized as '''Til Debt Do U$ Part'') is a Canadian television series produced by Frantic Films for Slice in Canada, Zone Reality in the United Kingdom and CNBC in the United States, released in 2005. ''Princess'' (stylized as ''Prince$$'') is a Television in Canada, Canadian television series hosted by Gail Vaz-Oxlade that premiered in 2010, and ran original programming until 2012 (three seasons). The program is similar in format to her earlier endeavor, ''Til Debt Do Us Part''; however, rather than helping couples in financial trouble, Vaz-Oxlade assists women who are considered self-indulgent and spoiled. Participants are given weekly challenges, some of which are to help bring the finances and debt under control, while others are meant to help correct the participant's attitude and make amends to their friends and relatives. At the end of six weeks, Vaz-Oxlade gives the participant a cheque for an amount up to $5,000, based upon Vaz-Oxlade's assessment of the participant's success in each of the challenges.
