Monastery (song)
"Monastery" is a song by Colombian singers Ryan Castro and Feid. It was released on November 11, 2021 under King and Universal Music Latino, Universal Latino as the eighth single from the special edition of Feid's fourth studio album Inter Shibuya – La Mafia, ''Inter Shibuya (Ferxxo Edition)'' (2021). Background and release "Monastery" originated from an unreleased remix of the song "Poblado" by Crissin, Totoy el Frío, and Natan & Shander, in which J Balvin, Karol G discography, Karol G, Nicky Jam: Bzrp Music Sessions, Vol. 41, Nicky Jam, Blessd, and Ryan Castro were scheduled to participate. However, the remix was eventually released without Blessd or Castro. In the unreleased verse, Castro mentioned the Colombian clothing brand Monastery, which caught the attention of its owner, Pedro Castellanos. Bryan David Castro Sosa (born 14 January 1994), known professionally as Ryan Castro, is a Colombian rapper, singer and songwriter from Bello, Antioquia. He achieved worldwide recognition for his songs "Quema", "Jordan", "Mujeriego", and "Monastery (song), Monastery". Early years Castro was born in Bello, Antioquia, Bello and raised in the Pedregal neighborhood, north of Medellín, the capital of Antioquia. The Premios Nuestra Tierra or Our Country Awards is an annual Colombian music award show. They have a format similar to that of the Grammy Awards, but restricted to the Colombian scope. The first Premios Nuestra Tierra were held in 2007. From 2015 through 2019 the show was discontinued for unknown reasons, until 2020 when they returned.
