John Monash
General Sir John Monash, (; 27 June 1865 – 8 October 1931) was an Australian civil engineer and military commander of the First World War. He commanded the 13th Infantry Brigade before the war and then, shortly after its outbreak, became commander of the 4th Brigade in Egypt, with whom he took part in the Gallipoli campaign. In July 1916 he took charge of the newly raised 3rd Division in northwestern France and in May 1918 became commander of the Australian Corps, at the time the largest corps on the Western Front. Monash is considered one of the best Allied generals of the First World War and the most famous commander in Australian history. Lindsay Thompson
Lindsay Hamilton Simpson Thompson AO, CMG (15 October 1923 – 16 July 2008) was an Australian Liberal Party politician who served the 40th Premier of Victoria from June 1981 to April 1982. He was previously the Deputy Premier between 1972 and 1981. Thompson was the longest-serving member in Victorian parliamentary history, serving a total of 27 years in the Legislative Council (1955–1970) and the Legislative Assembly (1970–1982). He had held the housing, education, police and treasury portfolios throughout his parliamentary career, and was notable for his actions in the Faraday School kidnapping as education minister. Graham Nicol
Graham John Nicol (17 July 1907 – 28 September 1990) was an Australian politician. He was born in Windsor, the son of pastoralist F. H. Nicol. He was an accountant, and served in World War II from 1940 to 1945; he was a prisoner of war of the Japanese in Timor and Java. On 14 August 1930 he had married Dorothy Williams, with whom he had two daughters. In 1958 he was elected to the Victorian Legislative Council as a Liberal and Country Party member for Monash Province Monash Province was an electorate of the Victorian Legislative Council until 2006.
