Molly-Mae Sharpe
Molly-Mae Sharpe (born 12 March 1997) is an English professional footballer who plays as forward for Women's Super League club Crystal Palace. She previously played for Durham, NCAA Division II college team Barry Buccaneers in the United States, and Bradford City in the National League. Early career Youth Sharpe began playing football with her local club Thackley Juniors before joining Leeds United Academy at the age of 9. Age 12 she moved to Bradford City. Originally a midfielder, she made the switch to a forward in her Senior debut aged 16. In her first year she scored a hat-trick in the final of the West Riding County Cup which saw Bradford City crowned champions over arch rivals Leeds United. The West Riding County Cup is an annual association football, football competition held between the clubs of the West Riding County Football Association which was first competed in 1927. It is the senior county cup for the historic West Riding of Yorkshire since the demise of the Senior Cup in 1999. The first winners were Leeds United Reserves in 1927. The 2023–24 Women's Championship season (known Barclays Women's Championship for sponsorship reasons) was the sixth season of the rebranded Women's Championship, the second tier of women's football in England, and the ninth season since the creation of the WSL 2.
