Abdul Quader Molla
Abdul Quader Mollah (; 14 August 1948 – 12 December 2013) was a Bangladeshi Islamist leader, writer, and politician of the Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami, who was convicted of war crimes and sentenced to death by the International Crimes Tribunal, Bangladesh (ICT) set up by the government of Bangladesh and hanged. The United Nations raised objections to the trial's fairness, while the general public in Bangladesh widely supported the execution. Quader Mollah was convicted on five of six counts of crimes against humanity and war crimes at his trial on 5 February 2013. A member of the Al-Badr militia during the Bangladesh War of Independence, he was convicted of killing 344 civilians among many other war crimes, and was sentenced to life in prison. This led to the 2013 Shahbag protests which demanded capital punishment for all convicted war criminals and the disbandment of Jamaat-e-Islami. Molla Wagué (born 21 February 1991) is a professional footballer who plays as a centre back. Born in France, he represented the country at U19 youth level before switching to the Mali senior national team. Club career Wagué started his professional career with French club SM Caen. He made his professional debut on 6 November 2011 in a 3–0 league victory against Dijon. Anna Margrethe "Molla" Bjurstedt Mallory ( Bjurstedt; 6 March 1884 – 22 November 1959) was a former Norwegian-American world no 2 ranked tennis player. She won a record eight singles titles at the U.S. National Championships. She was the first woman to represent Norway at the Olympics. Shlomo Molla (, ; born November 21, 1965) is an Israeli politician who served as a member of the Knesset for Kadima and Hatnuah between 2008 and 2013. He became Israel's second MK of Ethiopian origin. He later joined the Meretz party. Biography Molla was born in a small Jewish village of 40 families in Gondar Province in Ethiopia in 1965 into a family of 9 brothers and 2 sisters. Molla attempted to immigrate to Israel in 1984 on foot, after being overlooked by Operation Moses and Operation Joshua. He was rescued by Israeli forces in Sudan; during his journey in Sudan, one of the Ethiopian Jews traveling with him was shot and killed by Sudanese forces. Upon his arrival in Israel, he was sent to an immigrant absorption center in Safed. While suffering from malaria at the time of his arrival, he began learning Hebrew during his stay in the hospital. Rahamatulla Molla (born 30 March 1987) is an Indian former athlete. He won a bronze medal as a member of India's 4 x 100 metres relay team at the 2010 Commonwealth Games, which set a national record in the final. Moslem Ali Mollah () was a Bengali politician, jute merchant and philanthropist. He was a member of the 1st Bengal Legislative Assembly and the 2nd National Assembly of Pakistan. Abdur Razzak Molla (31 July 1944 – 11 April 2025) was an Indian politician who served as Minister for Land and Land Reforms in the Left Front Ministry in West Bengal. Background The son of Sk. Sahebul Haque Molla, a peasant who cultivated paddy and vegetables, he was attracted to the Communist movement while a college student and started his political career on the peasant front. Their family migrated from Memari, Purba Bardhaman district. Mollah's grandfather Md. Arif Sarkar was a popular doctor in Memari.
