Molem
Mollem (pronounced mole; the alphabet m is silent) is a small village in Goa, South India on National Highway 4 near the border with Karnataka in the foothills of the Sahyadri Mountain range at the beginning of Anmod Ghat. It comes under the Dharbandora block. The village is the primary entry point for Bhagwan Mahaveer Sanctuary and Mollem National Park. Bhagwan Mahaveer Sanctuary And Mollem National Park
Bhagwan Mahaveer Sanctuary and Mollem National Park is a protected area located in the Western Ghats of West India, in Dharbandora taluk, Goa State, along the eastern border with Karnataka. The area is situated near the town of Molem, east of Panaji, the state capital of Goa. National Highway 4A divides it into two parts and the Mormugao - Londa railway line passes through the area. It is located between 15°15"30' to 15°29"30' N and 74°10"15' to 74°20"15' E. It contains several important temples dating to the Kadambas of Goa, and home to waterfalls, such as Dudhsagar Falls and Tambdi Falls. Dharbandora
Dharbandora is a ''taluka'' of Goa state, India, with an estimated population of 30,000 to 40,000. History The creation of a new Dharbandora Taluka, the 12th Taluka in Goa, was announced by the Chief Minister of Goa Digambar Kamat on 25 March 2010, in his budget speech before the Goa Legislative Assembly. A Committee chaired by the Revenue Minister of Goa Jose Philip D'Souza steered the creation of the Taluka. By a 16 March 2011 notification, the Government of Goa notified the 18 villages of Aglote, Bandoli, Camarconda, Caranzol, Codli, Colem, Cormonem, Darbandora, Gangem, Molem, Moissal, Piliem, Sancordem, Sangod, Sigao, Sonauli, Surla and Usgao to incorporate the Dharbandora Taluka. Anmod is a village in Karnataka state of India at the Goa-Karnataka border. Anmod village lies on Belgaum- Goa road route. The Goa state can be reached by descending Anmod Ghat from Karnataka. The NH 748 or 4B highway from Goa up to Goa Karnataka border is good. After that in Karnataka due to incomplete bridge works at many places the road is missing, bad deep pot holes, muddy puddles.
