Moisés Ballesteros
Moisés Alejandro Ballesteros (born November 8, 2003) is a Venezuelan professional baseball catcher and designated hitter for the Chicago Cubs of Major League Baseball (MLB). Career Ballesteros signed with the Chicago Cubs as an international free agent on January 15, 2021. He made his professional debut that year with the Dominican Summer League Cubs. He played 2022 with the rookie-level Arizona Complex League Cubs and Single-A Myrtle Beach Pelicans. Ballesteros played 2023 with Myrtle Beach, the High-A South Bend Cubs, and the Double-A Tennessee Smokies, and was named the Cubs' Minor League Player of the Year. In 117 appearances split between the three affiliates, he accumulated a .285/.375/.449 batting line with 14 home runs, 64 RBI, and seven stolen bases. Iowa Cubs
The Iowa Cubs are a Minor League Baseball team of the International League and the Triple-A (baseball), Triple-A affiliate of the Chicago Cubs. They are located in Des Moines, Iowa, and are named for their Major League Baseball (MLB) affiliate. The Cubs have played their home games at Principal Park since 1992, replacing Sec Taylor Stadium which the Cubs used from 1969 to 1991. The club was established as the Iowa Oaks of the Triple-A American Association (1902–1997), American Association in 1969. Iowa took on the Cubs moniker in 1982.
