Mohammed Ponir
Mohammed Poniruzzaman Ponir (; born 7 August 1969), known simply as Ponir, is a retired Bangladeshi football player and coach. Club career Ponir represented Lalbagh SC from 1980 to 1984, during which the club won the Third Division in 1981. He debuted in the First Division with Sadharan Bima CSC in 1985. Ponir's performances with Fakirerpool YMC from 1988 to 1990 earned him a move to Brothers Union prior to the 1991 BTC Club Cup. Following the tournament, he was recruited by Kolkata Mohammedan and represented the team in the Calcutta First Division League in 1991, before returning to Brothers Union. In 1995, Ponir joined Dhaka Mohammedan and represented the club until his retirement in 2000. In his final year, he also represented the club in the 2000 National League. The 1996 Dhaka Premier Division League, also known as the Danish Condensed Milk Dhaka Premier League for sponsorship reasons, was the 45th season of the top-tier football league in Bangladesh and the 4th season of the Premier Division, following its succession from the First Division as the top-tier. Dhaka Senior Division Football League (), or the First Division Football League, is the third tier association football, football league in Bangladesh. Federation Cup, also known as Bangladesh Federation Cup or simply Fed Cup , is Bangladesh's premier cup competition in men's association football. The competition started in 1980 and is run by the Bangladesh Football Federation which is responsible for all types of competitive matches in the country. The teams from the country's Bangladesh Premier League (football), premier league and other clubs compete in the tournament while occasionally Indian sides were invited in the past. Maruful Haque
Maruful Haque () is a Bangladeshi professional football coach and former player, who is currently serving as the head coach of Bangladesh Premier League club Abahani Limited Dhaka. He is the first-ever South Asian to get a UEFA A license in 2015. He is also one of the first Bangladeshi coaches to obtain AFC Pro-Diploma. Early stage Maruful's roots lie in Gafargaon Upzila of Mymensingh. He had interests in all kinds of sports in his youth. He played 1st division kabaddi with Zurine Janata Club. 2000 National Football League (Bangladesh)
The 2000 National Football League was the inaugural season of the country's first football league held on a national scale. The league was also known as the Nitol-Tata National Football League due to sponsorship reasons. The league included the top three finishing clubs from the 1999 season of the country's top-tier football league at the time, the Dhaka Premier Division League. The clubs were the league champions Dhaka Mohammedan, runners-up Muktijoddha Sangsad KC and third-place Dhaka Abahani.
