Mohammad Ismail (born 13 January 1997) is a Pakistani cricketer. He made his first-class debut for National Bank of Pakistan in the 2017–18 Quaid-e-Azam Trophy on 9 October 2017. He made his Twenty20 debut for Rawalpindi in the 2017–18 National T20 Cup on 23 November 2017. He made his List A debut for Rawalpindi in the 2018–19 Quaid-e-Azam One Day Cup on 6 September 2018. First-class Cricket
First-class cricket, along with List A cricket and Twenty20 cricket, is one of the highest-standard forms of cricket. A first-class match is of three or more days scheduled duration between two sides of eleven players each and is officially adjudged to be worthy of the status by virtue of the standard of the competing teams. Matches must allow for the teams to play two innings each, although in practice a team might play only one innings or none at all. The etymology of "first-class cricket" is unknown, but the term was used loosely before it acquired official status in 1895, following a meeting of leading English clubs. At a meeting of the International Cricket Council, Imperial Cricket Conference (ICC) in 1947, it was formally defined on a global basis. The 2020–21 Pakistan Cup was a List A cricket competition that took place in Karachi, Pakistan from 8 January to 31 January 2021. Khyber Pakhtunkhwa were the defending champions after they beat Baluchistan. However, after the new domestic structure announced by Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), six newly formed regional teams were formed. In December 2020, it was announced that Aaron Summers would play in the tournament, becoming the first Australian cricketer to play in a domestic cricket competition in Pakistan, after signing with Southern Punjab cricket team. Following the conclusion of the group stage, Sindh, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Northern and Central Punjab had all qualified for the semi-finals of the tournament. The 2017–18 National T20 Cup was a Twenty20 domestic cricket competition that was played in Pakistan. It was the 14th season of the National Twenty20 Cup in Pakistan. It was originally scheduled to take place in August and September 2017 with eight teams competing. However, in August 2017, the tournament was postponed until November 2017 because of the 2017 Independence Cup and Pakistan's series against Sri Lanka. All the matches were originally scheduled to be played at the Multan Cricket Stadium and the Iqbal Stadium. 2017–18 Quaid-e-Azam Trophy
The 2017–18 Quaid-e-Azam Trophy was the 60th edition of the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy, Pakistan's domestic first-class cricket competition. It was contested by 16 teams representing eight regional associations and eight departments, and took place from 26 September to 25 December 2017, spanning almost two weeks less than originally planned. Pakistan's former Test captain Misbah-ul-Haq was critical of the compressed schedule and the quality of the pitches saying "it takes time to prepare a good pitch for a game and nobody can make it in two days".
