Background Emad was born in the Iranian city of Arak and lived there until the age of 33 before moving to the capital Tehran. He began being interested in painting at the age of five when he started copying images found in the magazines. He began his artistic activities with experimental painting. He later began experimenting with sculpture and held his first exhibition at Tehran's Afrand Gallery in 1993. Public commissions Emad has been commissioned for a series of urban projects. Arak ( fa, اراک, ''Arâk''; ) is the capital of Markazi Province, Iran. At the 2011 census, its population was 526,182, in 160,761 families. The city is nicknamed the "Industrial Capital of Iran". As a major industrial city, Arak hosts several industrial factories inside and within a few kilometers outside the city, including the factory of Machine Sazi Arak and the Iranian Aluminium Company. Etymology Arâk The term ''Arâk'' remains from a name given to the region since the medieval period. Shahid Behesti University ( fa, دانشگاه شهید بهشتی , Dāneshgāh-e Shahid Beheshti) (formerly known as the National University of Iran) is a public research university in Tehran, Iran. The university offers many programs at Bachelor's, Master's and Ph.D. levels. History Shahid Behesti University was founded in 1959 by Ali Sheikholislam.
