Mohammad Abass Wani
Mohammad Abass Wani (born 15 March 1965) is an Indian politician and sportsperson from Jammu and Kashmir. He was an MLA from Gulmarg Assembly constituency in Baramulla district. He served as president of the Winter Games Association of Jammu and Kashmir. He was the team manager of India's Winter Olympic Team Beijing 2022. He won the 2014 Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly election representing the Jammu and Kashmir People's Democratic Party. Early life and education Wani is from Chandilora, Tangmarg, Baramulla district, Jammu and Kashmir. He is the son of late Mohammad Akbar Wani. He is a passionate sportsperson who excelled in skiing from a young age, Later dedicating himself to promoting winter sports in Jammu and Kashmir. Gulmarg Assembly Constituency
Gulmarg is one of the 90 constituencies in the Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly of Jammu and Kashmir, a union territory of India. Gulmarg is also part of Baramulla Lok Sabha constituency. The Jammu and Kashmir Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) is a state political party in Jammu and Kashmir, India. The PDP was headed and founded by Mufti Mohammed Sayeed. His daughter, Mehbooba Mufti, succeeded him as party leader and as chief minister of Jammu and Kashmir following his death in January 2016. The party is a member of the People's Alliance for Gupkar Declaration electoral alliance. Tangmarg is a town and tehsil in Baramulla district in Indian union territory of Jammu and Kashmir. In 2014, Tangmarg was granted a sub division and trifurcated into three Tehsils (Tangmarg, Kunzer and Karhama), with Sub Divisional Magistrate SDM Office located at Tangmarg.
