Mohamed Nasir
Mohamed bin Nasir (; 1916 – 21 February 1997) was a Malaysian politician. He served as the Menteri Besar (Chief Minister) of Kelantan from 1973 to 1978. Mohamed founded Pan-Malaysian Islamic Front (BERJASA) in 1977 under the persuasion and endorsement of United Malays National Organisation (UMNO) who were dissatisfied with the demands of and in squabbles for the lump share in controlling the Barisan Nasional (BN) state of Kelantan with the Pan-Malaysian Islamic Party (PAS). Early life Mohamed Nasir was born in 1916 in Kampung Kota, Kota Bharu. His grandmother Malin Padek was from West Sumatra. He had a total of 16 children as a result of his polygamous marriages with Che Zainab binti Haji Ismail, Wan Mariam binti Wan Yusoff and Nik Khamsiah binti Nik Mohamed. The Malay language has a complex system of Style (manner of address), styles, titles and honorifics which are used extensively in Brunei, Brunei Darussalam, Malaysia and Singapore. Kelantan State Executive Council
The Kelantan State Executive Council is the executive authority of the Government of Kelantan, Malaysia. The Council comprises the Menteri Besar, appointed by the Sultan on the basis that he is able to command a majority in the Kelantan State Legislative Assembly, a number of members made up of members of the Assembly, the State Secretary, the State Legal Adviser and the State Financial Officer. This Council is similar in structure and role to the Cabinet of Malaysia, while being smaller in size. As federal and state responsibilities differ, there are a number of portfolios that differ between the federal and state governments. 1977 Kelantan Emergency
The 1977 Kelantan Emergency took place in the state of Kelantan in Malaysia. The state of emergency was declared by the Yang di-Pertuan Agong, Sultan Yahya Petra, who was also the Sultan of Kelantan at the time, on 8 November 1977, upon the request of the federal government following a political impasse and street violence in Kelantan.
