Mohamed Choua
Mohamed Choua (born 25 December 1992) is a Moroccan professional basketball player. He currently plays for the ASS Sale club of the FIBA Africa Club Champions Cup and the Nationale 1, Morocco’s first division. Since 2021, Choua plays for Rouen Métropole Basket in the French LNB Pro B. He represented Morocco's national basketball team at the 2017 AfroBasket in Tunisia and Senegal. There, he recorded most minutes, rebounds, steals and blocks for Morocco. Choua won the 2023 FIBA AfroCan The 2023 FIBA AfroCan was the 2nd edition of the FIBA AfroCan. Basketball is a sport with five players on the court for each team at a time. Each player is assigned to different Position (team sports), positions defined by the strategic role they play. Guard, forward and center are the three main position categories. The standard team features two guards, two forwards, and a center. The guards are typically called the "back court" and the forwards and centers the "front court". Morocco's National Basketball Team
The Morocco national basketball team represents Morocco in international basketball competitions. The team is governed by the Moroccan Royal Basketball Federation, also known as the FRMBB. The team has appeared at the FIBA AfroBasket 20 times and has won the gold medal in the 1965 tournament. In 1968, Morocco finished as runners-up. The team made the Olympics once, in 1968, but went 0-9 in those games, holding the ignominous distinction of playing the most Olympic basketball games without winning any. FIBA AfroBasket 2017 was the 29th edition of the AfroBasket, a men's basketball continental championship of Africa. The tournament was jointly hosted by Tunisia and Senegal.
