Mohamed Bassam
Mohamed Bassam (born 25 December 1990) is an Egyptian professional footballer. He plays for Ceramica Cleopatra, and was briefly a member of the Egypt national football team. He competed at the 2012 Summer Olympics. Club career Bassam played most of his career for Tala'ea El Gaish SC, until he transferred to Ceramica Cleopatra in September 2022. International career Bassam was part of the Egyptian youth national teams. He was selected for the Egypt U20 in the 2009 FIFA U-20 World Cup, then for the Egypt U23 in the 2011 African U-23 Championship and 2012 Summer Olympics. 2020–21 Egyptian Super Cup
The 2020–21 Egyptian Super Cup (also known as the 2020–21 SAIB Egyptian Super Cup for sponsorship reasons) was the 18th Egyptian Super Cup, an annual football match played between the winners of the previous season's Egyptian Premier League and Egypt Cup. It was played at Borg El Arab Stadium in Alexandria, Egypt, on 21 September 2021, contested by Al Ahly and Tala'ea El Gaish. Since Al Ahly won the treble in the previous season (league, cup and CAF Champions League), Tala'ea El Gaish were awarded a spot in this season's super cup as the 2019–20 Egypt Cup runners-up. This was the last edition where the cup runners-up participate in the super cup if one team won the double in the previous season. Starting from the 2021–22 edition, the league runners-up would participate instead. The Total Africa U-23 Cup of Nations (known as the CAF U-23 Championship until 2015) is the main international football competition for CAF nations, played by under 23 years old players. The 2019–20 Egypt Cup was the 88th edition of the oldest recognised football tournament in Africa. It is sponsored by Tiger Chips, and known as the Tiger Egypt Cup for sponsorship purposes. It started with the First Preliminary Round on 15 October 2019, and concluded with the final on 5 December 2020. Egyptian Premier League side Zamalek, who had won the last two titles, were eliminated by Tala'ea El Gaish in the semi-finals following a 3–1 defeat after extra time. Al Ahly defeated Tala'ea El Gaish in the final won the match 3–2 on penalties, after the original and extra time ended 1–1, winning their 37th Egypt Cup title.
