Mohamed Amanissi (born July 29, 1981) is a Moroccan boxer who qualified for the 2008 Olympics at Super Heavyweight. At the 2005 World Championships he lost against Mike Wilson 20:27, in 2007 he lost to Czech Vladimir Prusa 16:22. At the first qualifier 2008 he lost to local Newfel Ouatah 8:21. In the final of the second Qualification tournament he beat fellow qualifier Onorede Ehwareme 10:2. Mike Wilson (born February 7, 1983) is an American professional boxer who has held the WBA- NABA cruiserweight title since 2018. As an amateur, he was a two-time U.S. National champion at super heavyweight. Amateur He started to box in 1997 and participated in the World Junior Championships 2000 where he lost in the first round to Caba Kurtusz. He upset George Garcia (the American participant at the world championships 2003) twice and Travis Kauffman several times which convinced Garcia and Kaufman to turn pro. He also has a DQ win over Mike Marrone but lost to him at the PAL championship 2003. In 2004, he lost to Jason Estrada in the Olympic qualification who had beaten him before and was only Olympic alternate, but after Estrada turned pro Wilson dominated the domestic scene. Newfel Ouatah (born November 8, 1985) is a French–Algerian professional boxer. As an amateur, he won a gold medal at the 2007 African Championships at super heavyweight, a silver medal at the 2007 All-African Games and fought at the 2008 Summer Olympics. The 1st AIBA African 2004 Olympic Boxing Qualifying Tournament was held in Casablanca, Morocco from January 15 to January 22, 2004.
