Moe (band)
Moe (stylized as moe.) is an American jam rock band, formed at the University at Buffalo, The State University of New York, University at Buffalo in 1989. The band members are Rob Derhak (bass guitar, bass, Singing, vocals), Al Schnier (guitar, Singing, vocals, Keyboard instrument, keyboard), Chuck Garvey (guitar, Singing, vocals), Vinnie Amico (Drum kit, drums), Jim Loughlin (Percussion instrument, percussion) and Nate Wilson (keyboard). The band's first record, ''Fatboy (album), Fatboy'' (1992 in music, 1992), established the band as a favorite of the 1990s jam band and improvisational rock scene, which grew in popularity with the rise of bands such as Phish and Widespread Panic. Chuck Garvey
Chuck Garvey is one of two guitarists for the American rock band moe. His playing has been influenced by Frank Zappa, Mick Ronson, David Bowie, Pete Townshend, Andy Summers, Jimi Hendrix, and Stevie Ray Vaughan. He lives in the Cincinnati, Ohio area. On the morning of November 6, 2021, Garvey suffered a stroke while at home. In 2023 Garvey returned to moe. full time after recovering from the stroke. moe. Garvey is one of the founding members of moe. along with Rob Derhak. Both first played a Halloween show at a friend's request in 1989 with drummer Ray Schwartz. Since then, Garvey has been co-guitarist of the band along with Al Schnier. Radio City Music Hall
Radio City Music Hall (also known as Radio City) is an entertainment venue and Theater (structure), theater at 1260 Sixth Avenue (Manhattan), Avenue of the Americas, within Rockefeller Center, in the Midtown Manhattan neighborhood of New York City. The Allman Brothers
The Allman Brothers Band was an American rock band formed in Jacksonville, Florida, in 1969. Its founding members were brothers Duane Allman (slide guitar, lead guitar) and Gregg Allman (vocals, keyboards), as well as Dickey Betts (lead guitar, vocals), Berry Oakley (bass), Butch Trucks (drums), and Jai Johanny "Jaimoe" Johanson (drums). Woodstock 1999 (also called Woodstock '99) was a music festival held from July 21 to July 26, 1999, in Rome, New York, United States. After Woodstock '94, it was the second large-scale music festival that attempted to emulate the original 1969 Woodstock festival. Like the previous festivals, it was held in upstate New York; the festival site was the former Griffiss Air Force Base in Rome, roughly northwest of the 1969 Woodstock site in Bethel. Furthur Festival
Furthur was an American rock band founded in 2009 by former Grateful Dead members Bob Weir and Phil Lesh. The original lineup also included John Kadlecik of Dark Star Orchestra on lead guitar, RatDog's Jeff Chimenti on keyboards and Jay Lane on percussion, and Joe Russo of the Benevento/Russo Duo on drums. Widespread Panic is an American rock band from Athens, Georgia. The current lineup includes guitarist/singer John Bell (musician), John Bell, bassist Dave Schools, drummer Duane Trucks, percussionist Domingo "Sunny" Ortiz, keyboardist John "JoJo" Hermann, and guitarist Jimmy Herring. The band's original guitarist and sometime songwriter, Michael Houser, died of pancreatic cancer in 2002, and the original drummer, Todd Nance, left in 2016 and died in 2020. Phish
Phish is an American rock band formed in Burlington, Vermont, in 1983. The band consists of guitarist Trey Anastasio, bassist Mike Gordon, drummer Jon Fishman, and keyboardist Page McConnell, all of whom perform vocals, with Anastasio being the primary lead vocalist. The band is known for their musical improvisation and Jam session#Rock, jams during their concert performances and for their devoted fan following.
