''Dave Gorman: Modern Life Is Goodish'' is a British comedy television show that ran for five series between 2013 and 2017, with a revival series in 2025. It was broadcast on Dave and presented by Dave Gorman. The series mainly consisted of Gorman presenting comedic PowerPoint presentations in which he attempts to argue that modern life is neither bad nor good, but "good...ish". The series began on 17 September 2013. A fifth series began airing on 31 October 2017. Gorman announced on 18 December 2017 that the show would conclude after the final episode of series 5 aired the following night. However, in July 2024 it was announced that four brand-new hour-long specials had been ordered by UKTV for their rebranded U&Dave channel. A sixth series began airing on 24 February 2025. Blur (band)
Blur are an English rock band formed in London in 1988. The band consists of singer Damon Albarn, guitarist Graham Coxon, bassist Alex James, and drummer Dave Rowntree. Their debut album, ''Leisure'' (1991), incorporated the sounds of Madchester and shoegaze. Barb Audiences Ltd (formerly Broadcasters Audience Research Board) is a British organisation that compiles audience measurement and television ratings in the United Kingdom. It was created in 1981 to replace two previous systems whereby ITV (TV network), ITV ratings were compiled by JICTAR (Joint Industry Committee for Television Audience Research), whilst the BBC did their own audience research. ''Inside the Factory'' is a British television series produced by Voltage TV for the BBC. The first episode was broadcast on BBC Two on 5 May 2015. Each episode explores how a specific product is made inside a factory. The 2024 series is presented by Paddy McGuinness, Cherry Healey and historian Ruth Goodman who provides a look at how products came to exist as we know them today. Initially both Gregg Wallace and Healey visited the factories together, but since the Christmas special of 2017, each of the three presenters are in separate locations, forming different segments of the programme. ''Modern Life Is Rubbish'' is the second studio album by the English alternative rock band Blur, released in May 1993. Although their debut album '' Leisure'' (1991) had been commercially successful, Blur faced a severe media backlash soon after its release, and fell out of public favour. After the group returned from an unsuccessful tour of the United States, poorly received live performances and the rising popularity of rival band Suede further diminished Blur's status in the UK. Under threat of being dropped by Food Records, for their next album Blur underwent an image makeover championed by frontman Damon Albarn.
