''Prison 77'' () is a 2022 Spanish historical Thriller film, thriller Drama (film and television), drama film directed by Alberto Rodríguez Librero, Alberto Rodríguez from a screenplay co-written with Rafael Cobos which stars Miguel Herrán and Javier Gutiérrez Álvarez, Javier Gutiérrez. Set in the late 1970s in La Model (Barcelona), Barcelona's Modelo Prison, the plot consists of a critical revision of the so-called Spanish Transition, Transition in Spain, focusing on the plight of inmates imprisoned on common charges claiming for an amnesty that, unlike Spanish 1977 Amnesty Law, the case of fellow political prisoners, never came to pass. The film opened the 70th San Sebastián International Film Festival on 16 September 2022, to be released theatrically in Spain a week later. Javier Beltrán Andreu (born 18 May 1983 in Barcelona, Spain) is a Spanish film and theatre actor. Beltrán pursued his studies in Barcelona, which included a four-year humanities course at Pompeu Fabra University. He later studied dramatic arts, dance-theatre course (with Montserrat Prats) and acting (with Raimón Molins). He also had a short radio course with Radio Estudi Esplugues.
