Mitul Marma
Mitul Marma ( bn, মিতুল মারমা; born 11 December 2003) is a Bangladeshi Marma professional footballer who plays as a goalkeeper for Bangladesh Premier League club Abahani Limited Dhaka and the Bangladesh national team. Mitul has played for Bangladesh U15 and Bangladesh U23 too. He also won 2018 SAFF U-15 Championship with Bangladesh U-15. Early career Mitul's football journey was guided by Shantjit Tanchangya, a local teacher in Rangamati. He began with Bangabandhu Primary School Football and then represented the Rangamati District Team. In 2015, Mitul represented Noakhali Football Academy in the Pioneer League. In 2017, he played for Bangladesh Government Press SRC in the Dhaka Third Division League. In 2018, Mitul participated in the BFF U-18 Tournament with Mohammedan Sporting which led to him being selected for the Bangladesh U-15 team. Rangamati (Bengali: রাঙ্গামাটি;) is the administrative headquarter and town of Rangamati Hill District in the Chittagong Hill Tracts of Bangladesh. Marma People
The Marma ( my, မရမာလူမျိုး), formerly known as Moghs or Maghs, are the second-largest ethnic community in Bangladesh's Chittagong Hill Tracts, primarily residing in the Bandarban, Khagrachari and Rangamati Hill Districts. Some Marmas live in Bangladesh's coastal districts of Cox's Bazar and Patuakhali, while others live in Tripura, India and Myanmar. There are over 210,000 Marmas living in Bangladesh. Since the 16th century, the Marma have considered the Bengal's Chittagong Hill Tracts their home, where they have established the Bohmong and Mong Circles (chiefdoms). The 2022–23 Independence Cup, also known as Bashundhara Group Independence Cup 2022 due to the sponsorship from Bashundhara Group. It was the 12th edition of the Independence Cup, the oldest official club football tournament in Bangladesh. A total of 16 teams were contested in the tournament including two coming through qualifying round. Bashundhara Kings is the defending champion. Dhanmondi ( bn, ধানমন্ডি) is a residential area in Dhaka, Bangladesh, known for its central location, cultural vibrancy and being home to the country's founder, Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. The origins of Dhanmondi can be traced back to the late 1950s, when the Government of East Pakistan developed it as a centrally planned and residential area to house the city's top bureaucrats. The BFF U-18 Football Tournament is a youth club football tournament in Bangladesh founded in 2014 that are managed, organized and controlled by the Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF). Dhaka Third Division Football League is the fifth-tier football league in Bangladesh, as well as the third and lowest league division in Dhaka.
