Darya Alexandrovna Mitina (; born 14 August 1973) is a Russian leftist politician, historian, and cinema critic. She graduated as a historian and ethnologist from the Faculty of History of the Moscow State University in 1995. She studied there as a graduate student, but did not defend her PhD dissertation. Relationships Her mother, Natalia Mitina, was a known Soviet cinema scenario writer, and her father, Kasem Iskander Ibrahim Mohammed Yusufzai, was the founder of an Afghanistan national TV network. Mark Borisovich Mitin (; 5 July 1901 – 15 January 1987) was a Soviet Marxist–Leninist philosopher, university lecturer and Professor of Philosophy Faculty of Moscow State University (1964–1968, 1978–1985). He was interested primarily dialectical and historical materialism, the philosophy of history and criticism of bourgeois philosophy. Biography He came from a Jewish working-class family. Mitin became a member of the Russian Communist Party (Bolsheviks) in 1919. In the years 1925-1929 he studied philosophy at the Institute of Red Professors, which had the responsibility for educating a new Soviet intelligentsia. Viktoria Alexandrovna Mitina (, born 1949 in Kiev) is a Russian politician. A former Komsomol activist and engineer at Zelenograd Institute of Molecular Electronics, she went into politics in 1989, joining Boris Yeltsin's support team for the Congress of People's Deputies election. From 1991 to 1997, she was first deputy prefect of Zelenograd Administrative Okrug for science, industry and entrepreneurship development.
