Missouri Reserve Force
The Missouri State Defense Force (MSDF), formerly known as the Missouri Reserve Military Force, was the official state defense force of Missouri, deactivated in 2022. As a state defense force, the MSDF was a reserve military force which served parallel to the Missouri National Guard. As the MSDF fell solely under the command of the state of Missouri, it could not be federalized or deployed outside the borders of Missouri, unlike the National Guard. Although the MSDF and the Missouri National Guard were separate organizations, the MSDF's primary scope was to work alongside the National Guard during stateside operations, or in lieu of the National Guard when the National Guard is deployed outside of Missouri. State defense forces are authorized by state and federal law and are under the command of the Governor (United States), governor of each state. Missouri Wing Civil Air Patrol
The Missouri Wing of Civil Air Patrol (CAP) is the highest echelon of Civil Air Patrol in the state of Missouri. Missouri Wing headquarters are located in Whiteman Air Force Base. The Missouri Wing consists of over 800 cadet and adult members at 28 locations across the state of Missouri. Mission The Missouri Wing performs the three missions of Civil Air Patrol: providing emergency services; offering cadet programs for youth; and providing aerospace education for Civil Air Patrol members and the general public. Emergency services Civil Air Patrol performs search and rescue missions, directed by the Air Force Rescue Coordination Center at Tyndall Air Force Base. The labour law concept of leave, specifically paid leave or, in some countries' long-form, a leave of absence, is an authorised prolonged absence from work, for any reason authorised by the workplace.
