Miss World Philippines 2021
Miss World Philippines 2021 was the 10th edition of the Miss World Philippines pageant. It was held on October 3, 2021 at the Subic Bay Exhibition and Convention Center Hall A in Subic Special Economic and Freeport Zone, Olongapo, Zambales, Philippines. The event was initially scheduled for July 11, 2021. However, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, it moved at least four times; first to July 25, 2021, second to August 8, 2021, third to September 19, 2021, and finally to October 3, 2021. Michelle Dee, Michelle Daniela Dee crowned Tracy Perez, Tracy Maureen Perez of Cebu City as her successor at the end of the event. The coronation night made the headlines because the future winner Tracy Perez fell twice, the first time when she slipped on the edge of the platform and fell down the stairs of the stage before the announcing of winners; then shortly after she was crowned, during her first walk as the reigning queen, causing her crown to slip from her head. Subic Special Economic And Freeport Zone
The Subic Special Economic and Freeport Zone, often shorterned as Subic Bay or Subic, is a special economic zone and freeport area covering portions of the city of Olongapo and the town of Subic in Zambales, and the towns of Morong and Hermosa in Bataan. The relatively developed and fenced area is called the Subic Bay Freeport Zone (SBFZ). The economic zone was the location of U.S. Naval Base Subic Bay, until the latter's decommissioning in 1992. The SBFZ is operated and managed by the Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority (SBMA), a sub-agency under the Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA). Miss World 2021
Miss World 2021 was the 70th edition of the Miss World pageant, held at the Coca-Cola Music Hall in San Juan, Puerto Rico on 16 March 2022. The coronation was originally scheduled to be held on 16 December 2021 at the José Miguel Agrelot Coliseum. However, the pageant was rescheduled to 16 March 2022 due to the COVID-19 outbreak in Puerto Rico. Contestants from 97 countries and territories competed in this year's pageant, featuring the smallest number of candidates at the pageant since 2003. The pageant was hosted by Peter Andre for the second time, and Fernando Allende. Don Omar, Gente de Zona, Victor Manuel, Pedro Capó, and the Puerto Rico Philharmonic Orchestra (''Filarmónica de Puerto Rico'') conducted by Angel Velez with guest conductor Mike Dixon performed in this year's pageant.
