Miss World 2019
Miss World 2019 was the 69th edition of the Miss World pageant, held at the Exhibition Centre London in London, England, on 14 December 2019. At the end of the event, Vanessa Ponce of Mexico crowned Toni-Ann Singh of Jamaica as Miss World 2019. It is the fourth victory of Jamaica in the history of the pageant. Contestants from 111 countries and territories competed in the pageant. The pageant was hosted by Peter Andre, Miss World 2013 Megan Young, Miss World 2016 Stephanie Del Valle, and Fernando Allende. Peter Andre, Lulu, Misunderstood, and Kerry Ellis performed in this edition. London Live was a Local television in the United Kingdom, local television channel in London, England, which aired local news, current affairs, sports, arts, events, and entertainment. Miss World 2017 was the 67th edition of the Miss World pageant, held at the Sanya City Arena in Sanya, China, on 18 November 2017. Stephanie Del Valle of Puerto Rico crowned Manushi Chhillar of India as her successor at the end of the event. It was the sixth victory for India in the history of the pageant, tying with Venezuela for the most wins in the pageant's history. Miss World 2016 was the 66th edition of the Miss World pageant, held at the MGM National Harbor in Oxon Hill, Maryland, United States, on 18 December 2016. Mireia Lalaguna of Spain crowned her successor Stephanie Del Valle of Puerto Rico at the end of the event. It was the second time the Miss World pageant was held in the United States, and the second time where Puerto Rico was crowned Miss World, after Wilnelia Merced in 1975. Miss World 2015 was the 65th edition of the Miss World pageant, held at the Crown of Beauty Theatre in Sanya, Hainan, China, on 19 December 2015. Rolene Strauss of South Africa crowned Mireia Lalaguna of Spain as her successor at the end of the event. It was the first time in the history of Miss World that Spain won the pageant. Miss World 2006
Miss World 2006 was the 56th edition of the Miss World pageant, held at the Sala Kongresowa, a theatre at the Palace of Culture and Science in Warsaw, Poland, on 30 September 2006. It was the first time ever that the pageant was held in the Continental Europe and a European city other than London. At the end of the event, Taťána Kuchařová of Czech Republic was crowned by the previous winner Unnur Birna Vilhjálmsdóttir of Iceland. Julia Morley
Julia Evelyn Morley (née Pritchard; born 25 October 1939) is an English businesswoman, charity worker and former model. She is the chairman and CEO of the Miss World Organization, which organizes the Miss World and Mister World pageants. She is the widow of Miss World creator, the late Eric Morley who organized the pageant from its inception in July 1951, until his death in 2000. Life and career Born in London, she worked as a model, and met Eric Morley, then a director of Mecca Dancing, at a dance hall in Leeds; the couple married in 1960.
