Miss West Virginia Teen USA
The Miss West Virginia Teen USA competition is the pageant that selects the representative for the state of West Virginia in the Miss Teen USA pageant. This pageant is independently conducted and produced by Sanders & Associates, Inc., dba- Pageant Associates based in Buckhannon, West Virginia. Despite a relatively strong start in the 1980s, with two semi-finals finishes, no Miss West Virginia Teen USA placed from 1988 to 2005, when Andrea Turner placed 2nd runner-up to Allie LaForce of Ohio. After this, West Virginia had more success, with more placements in 2007, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2017 and 2018. Four Miss West Virginia Teen USA's have also won the Miss West Virginia USA title and competed at Miss USA. Emma Kitchen of Buckhannon was crowned Miss West Virginia Teen USA 2022 on June 5, 2022 at Virginia Thomas Law Center for the Performing Arts in West Virginia Wesleyan College in Buckhannon. A beauty pageant is a competition that has traditionally focused on judging and ranking the Physical attractiveness, physical attributes of the contestants. Pageants have now evolved to include inner beauty, with criteria covering judging of Personality psychology, personality, intelligence, Aptitude, talent, character, and charitable involvement, through private interviews with judges and answers to public on-stage questions. The term beauty pageant refers originally to the Big Four international beauty pageants. Bridgeport, West Virginia
Bridgeport is a city in eastern Harrison County, West Virginia, United States. The population was 9,325 at the 2020 census. It is part of the Clarksburg micropolitan area. Miss Teen USA 2011
Miss Teen USA 2011 was the 29th Miss Teen USA pageant. It was held at the Grand Ballroom, Atlantis Paradise Island, Nassau, The Bahamas on July 16, 2011. Miss Teen USA 2010, Kamie Crawford, crowned her successor, Danielle Doty of Texas, as Miss Teen USA 2011 at the end of this event. The 50 states and the District of Columbia competed for the prestigious title. For the first time, viewers were allowed to vote for their favorite opening dress and swimsuit designed by the official sponsors, Sherri Hill and Kooey Australia. People's Choice along with Miss Universe Organization created an online poll for selecting Miss Teen USA Photogenic, won by Courtney Coleman of Hawaii. Miss Teen USA 2012
Miss Teen USA 2012 was the 30th Miss Teen USA pageant. The pageant was held on July 28, 2012 at the Grand Ballroom of the Atlantis Paradise Island in Nassau, The Bahamas. Danielle Doty of Texas crowned Logan West from Connecticut as the new Miss Teen USA 2012 at the end of the event. The 50 states and the District of Columbia competed for the prestigious title and the pageant was streamed globally on the official Miss Teen USA website over its Ustream channel and was also streamed for the first time to Xbox 360 consoles over Xbox Live in North America and in select regions in Europe, Oceania and Latin America. Hurricane, West Virginia
Hurricane is a city in Putnam County, West Virginia, United States. The population was 6,977 at the 2020 census. It is part of the Huntington–Ashland metropolitan area. Miss Teen USA 2016 was the 34th Miss Teen USA pageant, was held at The Venetian Theatre in Las Vegas, Nevada on July 30, 2016. Katherine Haik of Louisiana crowned her successor Karlie Hay of Texas, at the end of the event. Miss Teen USA 2017 was the 35th Miss Teen USA pageant held at the Phoenix Symphony Hall in Phoenix, Arizona on July 29, 2017. Karlie Hay of Texas crowned her successor, Sophia Dominguez-Heithoff of Missouri at the end of the event. The pageant was hosted by celebrity personal trainer and author Heidi Powell and E! correspondent Erin Lim, while Mexican singer Jorge Blanco performed.
