Miss Venezuela 2018
Miss Venezuela 2018 was the 65th edition of the Miss Venezuela held on December 13, 2018 at the Estudio 5 de Venevisión in Caracas, Venezuela. At the end of the event, Miss World Venezuela 2017, Veruska Ljubisavljević, crowned Isabella Rodríguez of Portuguesa as the winner. She represented Venezuela at Miss World 2019 and made into top 40. This was the first edition of Miss Venezuela not being under the chairmanship of Osmel Sousa, who was president for 40 years. After his resignation, the organization is now chaired by three former Venezuelan beauty queens: Gabriela Isler, Miss Universe 2013, Jacqueline Aguilera, Miss World 1995 and Nina Sicilia, Miss International 1985. Isabella Rodríguez Guzmán (born 19 October 1993) is a Venezuelan TV host, model and beauty pageant titleholder who was crowned Miss Venezuela 2018. She represented the state of Portuguesa at the pageant and represented Venezuela at the Miss World 2019 competition where she was placed as top 40. Alejandrina “Nina” Sicilia Hernández (born December 3, 1962, in Caracas) is a Venezuelan model and beauty queen who was the very first Venezuelan to hold the Miss International title. Miss World 1999, the 49th edition of the Miss World pageant, was held on 4 December 1999 at the Olympia Hall in London, United Kingdom. The pageant was hosted by Ulrika Jonsson and model Melanie Sykes. The 1999 pageant attracted 94 delegates from all over the world. The 1999 pageant also marked the first time that Scotland and Wales fielded their respective delegates.
