Miss Universe Puerto Rico 2019 was the 64th Miss Universe Puerto Rico pageant, held at the Luis A. Ferré Fine Arts Center in Santurce, San Juan, Puerto Rico, San Juan, Puerto Rico, on June 13, 2019 Kiara Ortega of Rincón, Puerto Rico, Rincón crowned Madison Anderson of Toa Baja, Puerto Rico, Toa Baja at the end of the event. Anderson represented Puerto Rico at the Miss Universe 2019 pageant and finished as 1st Runner-Up. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic the 2020 edition of the national pageant was cancelled, resulting in 1st Runner-Up Estefanía Soto of San Sebastián, Puerto Rico, San Sebastián representing Puerto Rico at Miss Universe 2020 where she finished in the Top 10. Madison Sara Anderson Berríos (born November 10, 1995) is a Puerto Rican-American model and beauty pageant titleholder who was crowned Miss Universe Puerto Rico 2019. She represented Puerto Rico at Miss Universe 2019 competition where she finished as the 1st Runner-Up. In 2023 she was the winner of the season 3 of La casa de los famosos season 3, La Casa de los Famosos. Early life Anderson was born on November 10, 1995, in Phoenix, Arizona, to an American father, Adam Anderson, and a Puerto Ricans in the United States, Puerto Rican mother, Belinda Berríos. Miss Universe 2020 was the 69th Miss Universe pageant, held at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Florida, United States, on 16 May 2021. Miss Universe Puerto Rico is a national beauty pageant in Puerto Rico, held annually since 1952. Currently, the pageant is responsible for selecting Puerto Rico's delegates to Miss Universe. Since 2018, the organization is owned by Hemisphere Media Group, and the annual competition is broadcast on WAPA TV and WAPA América. Yizette Cifredo is the current Director of Miss Universe Puerto Rico. Traditionally, the organization begins castings of the contestants in April.
