Miss Universe Ecuador is a beauty pageant and organization that selects Ecuador's official representative to Miss Universe. The reigning Miss Universe Ecuador is Nadia Mejia of the Ecuadorian Community in the United States, who was crowned on July 26, 2025, in Guayaquil, Ecuador. Miss Ecuador is a national beauty pageant in Ecuador. The current Miss Ecuador is Eunice Rivadeneira from Guayas. She won the title on 17 August 2024, and will represent Ecuador at Miss International 2025. History The first winner of the Miss Ecuador pageant was Sara Chacón Zúñiga from Guayas in 1930. The contest was then inactive until 1955 when Leonor Carcache from Guayas won the first modern title of Miss Ecuador, and was the first representative of the country at Miss Universe 1955. Miss Grand Ecuador is an Ecuadorian female national beauty pageant launched in 2021 by the Concurso Nacional de Belleza Ecuador (CNB Ecuador) organization, directed by Tahiz Panus and Miguel Panus, with the aim of selecting a country representative to participate in its parent pageant, Miss Grand International. Ecuavisa is an Ecuadorian free-to-air television network that was launched on March 1, 1967, on Quito's channel 8 and Guayaquil's channel 2. It is one of the leading TV networks in the country. The channel has an international feed named Ecuavisa Internacional. History The foundations of the main station that would lead to the creation of the current network were held on August 22, 1966, atop Cerro del Carmen, Guayaquil, inspired by the philosophy of the Vistazo magazine.
