Miss Teen USA 2009
Miss Teen USA 2009, the 27th Miss Teen USA pageant, was held at the Imperial Ballroom, Atlantis Paradise Island, in Nassau, The Bahamas on July 31, 2009. For the first time since 1986, the Miss Teen USA pageant was held earlier than the Miss Universe pageant. Miss Teen USA 2008, Stevi Perry of Arkansas, crowned Stormi Henley of Tennessee as her successor. For the first time, the event was webcast live over the Internet via Ustream (on www.missteenusa.com). Ed Fields and Stevi Perry hosted the presentation show, where Seth Goldman and Miss USA 2008, Crystle Stewart hosted the final show. Pop rock band Honor Society and Canadian pop singer, songwriter Leah Renee performed during the two hours live event. Miss Ohio Teen USA
The Miss Ohio Teen USA competition is the pageant that selects the representative for the state of Ohio in the Miss Teen USA pageant and the name of the title held by that winner. Most recently the pageant has been held in Springfield, Ohio and was previously held in Portsmouth for 14 years. Contestants compete in three competition segments: swimsuit, interview, and evening gown. Prizes include a scholarship to Lindenwood University. Their first Miss Teen USA title came in 2005 Allie LaForce won the national crown, Ohio's first placement since 1993. LaForce went on to become a successful sports broadcaster. Miss Rhode Island Teen USA
The Miss Rhode Island Teen USA competition is the pageant that selects the representative for the state of Rhode Island in the Miss Teen USA pageant and the name of the title held by that winner. Rhode Island has placed six times at the Miss Teen USA Pageant, most recently in 2009 when Talia Turco made the top 15. The state's first finalist was Shaelyn McNally in 2006. One of those semi-finalists was Shanna Moakler, who would later win the Miss New York USA pageant and takeover the Miss USA title when Chelsi Smith won Miss Universe. The Miss Nevada Teen USA competition is the pageant that selects the representative for the state of Nevada in the Miss Teen USA pageant. Contestants compete in interview, active wear, and evening gown. Winners have most commonly come from Las Vegas since the pageant began in 1983. Janae McIntosh of Las Vegas was crowned Miss Nevada Teen USA 2022 on May 15, 2022 at South Point Hotel, Casino & Spa in Las Vegas. She will represent Nevada for the title of Miss Teen USA 2022. Stormi Bree Henley (born December 6, 1990), also known simply as Stormi Bree, is an American singer, actress, model and beauty pageant titleholder. At age 18, she was crowned Miss Teen USA 2009, after previously winning Miss Tennessee Teen USA 2009. Personal life Henley is the daughter of Kip and Sissi Henley and has a sister named Darbi Henley. Miss Georgia Teen USA
The Miss Georgia Teen USA competition is the pageant that selects the representative for the state of Georgia in the Miss Teen USA pageant. This pageant is directed Greenwood Productions under the ownership of Miss Tennessee USA 1989 Kim Greenwood. The pageant is hosted on McDonough, Georgia. Georgia is in the top 5 most successful states at Miss Teen USA in terms of number and value of placements. Despite this, like their sister pageant, Miss Georgia USA, they have never won the competition despite having placed 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th as well as several finalist and semi-finalist spots. The Miss Wyoming Teen USA competition is the pageant that selects the representative for the state of Wyoming in the Miss Teen USA pageant. Wyoming's highest placement was at Miss Teen USA 1985 when Emily Ernst placed first runner-up to Kelly Hu of Hawaii. The Miss Washington Teen USA competition is the pageant that selects the representative for the state of Washington in the Miss Teen USA pageant. Washington is one of the more successful states at Miss Teen USA, having placed on eight occasions. Their highest placement came in 1985, when Dru Homer placed 2nd runner-up to Kelly Hu of Hawaii. Their most successful decades have been the 1980s and 2000s. The state failed to place in the 1990s. Alex Carlson-Helo is the first Miss Washington Teen USA who also won Miss Washington USA. Miss Utah Teen USA
Miss Utah Teen USA competition is the pageant that selects the representative for the state of Utah in the Miss Teen USA pageant. From 2001 to 2007, the pageant was produced by Red Curtain Productions. Casting Crowns Productions directed the pageant from 2007 to 2018 under the directorship of former Miss Missouri USA Britt Boyse. Smoak Productions became the new director for Miss and Teen pageants in 2019 under executive director and Miss USA 1995 Shanna Moakler. The Miss Missouri Teen USA competition is the pageant that selects the representative for the state of Missouri in the Miss Teen USA pageant. It is directed by Vanbros and Associates, based in Lenexa, Kansas. In 1993, Missouri joined the Vanbros group of state pageants for the Miss USA and Teen USA system. Missouri is in the top 10 most successful states at Miss Teen USA in terms of number and value of placements. Six Missouri teens have gone on to compete at Miss USA, although only four as Miss Missouri USA. The other two represented Kansas, another Vanbros state. Gabriella Hembree of Carrollton was crowned Miss Kentucky Teen USA 2022 on March 26, 2022 at The Center for Rural Development in Somerset.
