Miss Teen USA 1995
Miss Teen USA 1995, the 13th Miss Teen USA pageant, was televised live from the Century II Convention Center in Wichita, Kansas on 15 August 1995. At the conclusion of the final competition, Keylee Sue Sanders of Kansas was crowned by outgoing queen Shauna Gambill of California. The pageant was hosted by Bob Goen for the second year, with color commentary by Maty Monfort and entertainment by All-4-One. This was the only year that the pageant was held in Wichita, which also held the Miss USA pageant from 1990 to 1994, and it was the first time that a delegate won the Miss Teen USA title in her home state. Keylee Sue Sanders
Keylee Sue Sanders (born July 29, 1977) is an American beauty queen who was Miss Kansas Teen USA and Miss Teen USA 1995. Sanders first won the Miss Kansas Teen USA title in October 1994. In August 1995 she was crowned Miss Teen USA in the national pageant televised live from Wichita, in her home state of Kansas. As Miss Kansas Teen USA, Sanders was part of the Vanbros organization, and she would retain links with that group after she gave up her crown. Sanders later graduated from Kansas State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Fashion merchandising. She remained involved in pageantry, and formed her own pageant consulting business, Keylee Sue & Associates, Inc, in 1997. In 1999, Sanders designed the competition gowns for Miss Kansas Teen USA and Miss Missouri Teen USA. Katie Aselton
Kathryn Aselton (born October 1, 1978) is an American actress, film director and producer. She directed and co-starred in '' The Freebie'', which was shown in the non-competition "Next" category at the Sundance Film Festival in 2010. Miss Alabama Teen USA
The Miss Alabama Teen USA competition is the pageant that selects the representative for the state of Alabama in the Miss Teen USA pageant and the name of the title held by that winner. Alabama's success at Miss Teen USA has improved in recent years, with eight teens making the cut, although none have placed higher than 4th runner-up until 2016. That placement went to Anna Mingus, who also won Miss Congeniality, Alabama's only special award until Erin Snow won Miss Photogenic in 2016. Mingus later took the title Miss Alabama USA in 1995, and is one of only three Alabama teens to win a Miss USA state title. Until 2010 Miss and Teen Alabama was directed by the Premier Pageants group, and was the first state to be taken under this directorate. Miss Indiana USA
The Miss Indiana USA competition is the pageant that selects the representative for the state of Indiana in the Miss USA pageant and the name of the title held by those representatives. This pageant is currently produced by Crown Moxie. The pageant is currently held in Noblesville and has previously been hosted by Anderson, Michigan City, Indianapolis, Carmel and Fort Wayne. The most recent placement was Alexis Lete in 2020, who finished 3rd runner-up. Nine Miss Indiana USA winners have previously held the Miss Indiana Teen USA title and competed at Miss Teen USA and three previously competed in other states (Florida, Georgia and Virginia). Miss Tennessee USA
The Miss Tennessee USA competition is the pageant that selects the representative for the state of Tennessee in the Miss USA pageant. The pageant is directed by Greenwood Productions under the ownership of Miss Tennessee USA 1989, Kimberly Payne Greenwood, since 1992. Since 1999, the pageant has been held at Austin Peay State University in Clarksville, Tennessee. Lynnette Cole, Miss Tennessee USA 2000, and Rachel Smith, Miss Tennessee USA 2007, are the only titleholders to win the Miss USA title and both previously won the Miss Tennessee Teen USA title. Miss Oklahoma USA
The Miss Oklahoma USA competition is the pageant that selects the representative for the state of Oklahoma in the Miss USA pageant. This pageant is directed by Vanbros and Associates, headquartered in Lenexa, Kansas. In 1997, Oklahoma joined the Vanbros group of state pageants for the Miss USA and Teen USA system. Olivia Jordan was crowned Miss USA 2015 on July 12, 2015 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, becoming the first contestant from Oklahoma to win the national title, and as well the 34th state to have the national title. Oklahoma is in the top 20 states in terms of the number of semi-finalists. Melana Scantlin
Melana Scantlin (born December 4, 1977 Gladstone, Missouri) is an American entertainment journalist, sports journalist and former Miss Missouri USA, and reality TV star who also competed in the Miss Teen USA and Miss USA pageants. In college, she was named to the Dean's List, The National Dean's List and Who's Who Among College and University Students. Scantlin's first beauty pageant win was Miss Missouri Teen USA. She went on to represent Missouri in the Miss Teen USA pageant broadcast and placed in the semifinals. In 2001, she won the Miss Missouri USA 2002 title, becoming the fifth former Miss Teen USA delegate to win the title. The Miss Missouri Teen USA competition is the pageant that selects the representative for the state of Missouri in the Miss Teen USA pageant. It is directed by Vanbros and Associates, based in Lenexa, Kansas. In 1993, Missouri joined the Vanbros group of state pageants for the Miss USA and Teen USA system. Missouri is in the top 10 most successful states at Miss Teen USA in terms of number and value of placements. The Miss Florida Teen USA competition is the pageant that selects the representative for the state of Florida in the Miss Teen USA pageant. Florida ties with Illinois and North Carolina for most Miss Photogenic awards (3). These were won in a successive streak from 1996 to 1998. In 2021, Florida became the 27th state that won the Miss Teen USA title for the first time. Miss Minnesota Teen USA
The Miss Minnesota Teen USA competition is the pageant that selects the representative for the state of Minnesota in the Miss Teen USA pageant. This pageant is directed by Future Productions based in Savage, Minnesota. Minnesota has not been very successful at Miss Teen USA, with their first placement coming in 1995, in the pageant's thirteenth year. Minnesota teens have performed best in the 2000s, with two top fifteen, three top ten placements and a 4th runner-up placement. The Miss Kentucky Teen USA competition is the pageant that selects the representative for the state of Kentucky in the Miss Teen USA pageant. Gabriella Hembree of Carrollton was crowned Miss Kentucky Teen USA 2022 on March 26, 2022 at The Center for Rural Development in Somerset. She represented Kentucky at Miss Teen USA 2022 in Reno, Nevada. Eligibility The participant must be a single, legally recognized female between the ages of 14–18 years old. The Miss Iowa Teen USA competition is the pageant that selects the representative for the state of Iowa in the Miss Teen USA pageant, which is co-owned by the Miss USA Organization by Crystle Stewart. This pageant is produced by Future Productions, LLC which also produces state pageants for Minnesota, Wisconsin, North Dakota, Colorado, South Dakota, and Wyoming.
