Miss North Dakota USA
The Miss North Dakota USA competition is the pageant that selects the representative for the state of North Dakota in the Miss USA pageant. Since 2010, it is directed by Future Productions based in Savage, Minnesota. North Dakota's highest placements were in 2014 and 2021, when Audra Mari and Caitlyn Vogel, respectively, placed as the first runner-up. Both had formerly placed as the first runner-up in Miss Teen USA 2011 and Miss Teen USA 2019, respectively. Three Miss North Dakota USA titleholders have competed at Miss America and eight have competed at Miss Teen USA. Codi Miller of Amidon was crowned Miss North Dakota USA 2024 on May 12, 2024 at the Watertown Events Center in Watertown, South Dakota. She will represent North Dakota at Miss USA 2024. Miss America
Miss America is an annual competition that is open to women from the United States between the ages of 18 and 28. Originating in 1921 as a "bathing beauty revue", the contest is judged on competition segments with scoring percentages: ''Private Interview'' (30%) – a 10-minute press conference-style interview with a panel of judges, ''On Stage Question'' (10%) – answering a judge's question onstage, ''Talent or HER Story'' (20%) – a performance talent or 90 second speech, ''Health and Fitness'' (20%) – demonstrated physical fitness onstage dressed in athletic wear, and ''Evening Gown'' (20%) – modeling evening-wear onstage. Grand Forks is a city in and the county seat of Grand Forks County, North Dakota, United States. The Turtle Mountain Band of Chippewa Indians (Ojibwe language: Mikinaakwajiw-ininiwag) is a federally recognized Native American tribe of Ojibwe based on the Turtle Mountain Indian Reservation in Belcourt, North Dakota. The tribe has 30,000 enrolled members. A population of 5,815 reside on the main reservation and another 2,516 reside on off-reservation trust land (as of the 2000 census). Miss USA 2018
Miss USA 2018 was the 67th Miss USA pageant. It was held on May 21, 2018 at the Hirsch Memorial Coliseum in Shreveport, Louisiana. The pageant was held at the same venue that was used for Miss USA 1997. Kára McCullough of Washington, D.C., District of Columbia crowned her successor Sarah Rose Summers of Nebraska at the end of the event, becoming the first woman from her state to win the title. Burlington, North Dakota
Burlington is a city in Ward County, North Dakota, United States. It was founded in 1883, the third in a series that included two earlier settlements. Despite this, Burlington is still the oldest city in Ward County, as well as north-western and north central North Dakota. Miss USA 2019
Miss USA 2019 was the 68th Miss USA pageant, held at the Grand Sierra Resort in Reno, Nevada on May 2, 2019. The 2019 competition served as the second consecutive time that the pageant has been held concurrently with the Miss Teen USA competition. This was also the final pageant where it was televised on Fox. The contest was won by Cheslie Kryst of North Carolina, who was crowned by Sarah Rose Summers of Nebraska. The Miss North Dakota competition is the pageant that selects the representative for the state of North Dakota in the Miss America pageant. The first Miss North Dakota to compete at Miss America was Kitty Page in 1949. In 2017, Cara Mund became the first North Dakotan to win the Miss America title, when she won the Miss America 2018 pageant. Sophia Richards of Hope was crowned Miss North Dakota 2024 on June 8, 2024, at Bakken Auditorium in Williston, North Dakota. She will compete for Miss America 2025.
