Miss Mizoram
Miss Mizoram is a beauty pageant contest for single women in the State of Mizoram in India. After its inception, the pageant was organized by the Mizoram Journalists Association. After reaching its 10th year, Lelte Weekly, a weekly magazine, took over its organization. In 2014, IHM has served as the main organizer and was later franchised by Zonet TV Pvt Ltd with association of Mizoram Journalists Association. The latest edition of Miss Mizoram was concluded on 26 April 2024. Jennifer Lalrinzuali Renthlei from Aizawl was crowned as the new Miss Mizoram. Title Holders Miss Mizoram 2014 After nine years of hiatus, the Miss Mizoram 2014 Pageant was held at Aizawl,. Hundreds of women applied for the pageant. The field was narrowed to 20 and then 16. A beauty pageant is a competition in which the contestants are judged and ranked based on various physical and mental attributes. Per its name, beauty pageants traditionally focus on judging the contestants' physical attractiveness, sometimes solely so, but most modern beauty pageants have since expanded to also judge contestants based on "inner beauty"—their individual traits and characteristics, including personality, Human intelligence, intelligence, aptitude, moral character, and Charity (practice), charity. Champhai
Champhai is the third largest town in Mizoram, northeast India and is one of the oldest settlements founded by the Mizo people that initially served as a capital for the Hmar dynasty. Located near the India–Myanmar border, it facilitates cross-border trade and serves as a hub for trade and commerce in the region. Lunglei
Lunglei (, locally ), formerly rendered Lungleh, is the second-largest town in Mizoram, Northeast India, northeastern India, situated in the south-central part of the state. The town served as the capital of British rule in the Lushai Hills, British South Lushai Hills from 1889 to 1898. Kolasib
Kolasib is a town located in the northern part of Mizoram, India. It serves as the headquarters of the Kolasib District. Serchhip
Serchhip is a town located in the Indian state of Mizoram, in the northeastern part of the country. It serves as the district capital of the Serchhip district. Geography Serchhip is located at . Lawngtlai
Lawngtlai is a town located in the southern part of Mizoram, India. It serves as the administrative headquarters of the Lawngtlai district and is home to the Pawi people, also known as the Hakha Chin people in Myanmar. Saitual
Saitual is a town located in the Indian state of Mizoram. It serves as the administrative headquarters of the newly created Saitual district. History and toponym The present settlement was founded by one chief of Sailo clan Dorawta, who after conversion wanted to establish a Christian village in the year 1915. At first, about 16 families joined him but later more people joined him in 1916. As the population increased gradually, schools and other government establishments were created. There is, however, disagreement about who founded the village. According to the dissenters, about 12 families had already settled in Saitual in 1912.
