Cotai Arena
The Cotai Arena is an indoor arena located on the premises of The Venetian Macao, on the Cotai Strip, in Macau, China. It opened in 2007 with a seating capacity of 15,000. The arena was known as Venetian Arena from 2007 to 2010, when it was renamed as ''CotaiArena''. It hosts sporting events such as basketball, tennis and boxing, as well as concerts and international televised awards shows. Miss Chinese International Pageant 2001
Miss Chinese International Pageant 2001 was held on January 20, 2001 in Hong Kong. At the end of the pageant, Bernice Liu of Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada was crowned the 13th Miss Chinese International. This was the first victory for the Canadian city. Prior to this, Vancouver has never placed higher than 2nd runner up. Pageant information The theme to this year's pageant is "The Gathering of Cosmopolitan Treasure, The Brightness of Eastern Pearl" 「名都瑰寶滙聚 東方明珠生輝」. Miss Chinese International Pageant 2010
The 22nd Miss Chinese International Pageant, Miss Chinese International Pageant 2010 was held on November 5, 2010. Tianjin, China would host the pageant for the first time. TVB would broadcast the pageant one day later, delayed, for the first time ever. Miss Chinese International 2009 Christine Kuo of Toronto, Ontario, Canada crowned her successor, Eliza Sam of Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada at the end of the three-hour pageant, marking Vancouver's fifth win. Pageant information The slogan to this year's pageant is "Chinese Beautiful Posture, Beautiful Shadows of Red Dust" 「中華美態 紅塵儷影」. Miss World 2012
Miss World 2012, the 62nd edition of the Miss World pageant, was held on 18 August 2012 at Dongsheng Fitness Center Stadium in Ordos, Inner Mongolia, China. 116 contestants from all over the world competed for the crown. Ivian Sarcos of Venezuela crowned her successor Yu Wenxia of China at the end of the event. This is the second time China has won the title of Miss World. Miss World
Miss World is the oldest existing international beauty pageant. It was created in the United Kingdom by Eric Morley in 1951. Since his death in 2000, Morley's widow, Julia Morley, has co-chaired the pageant. Along with Miss Universe, Miss International, and Miss Earth, it is one of the Big Four international beauty pageants. The current Miss World is Karolina Bielawska of Poland, who was crowned by Toni-Ann Singh of Jamaica on March 16, 2022, in San Juan, Puerto Rico.
