The Miss Macau 2008 pageant was held in the Cotai Arena on September 7, 2008. Ten delegates completed for the title. The winner was Florence Loi, who competed at Miss International 2008. Cotai Arena
The Cotai Arena is an indoor arena located on the premises of The Venetian Macao, on the Cotai Strip, in Macau, China. It opened in 2007 with a seating capacity of 15,000. The arena was known as Venetian Arena from 2007 to 2010, when it was renamed as ''CotaiArena''. It hosts sporting events such as basketball, tennis and boxing, as well as concerts and international televised awards shows. Miss International 2008
Miss International 2008, the 48th Miss International pageant, was held on November 8, 2008 at The Venetian Macao in Macau, the presenters are Eric Tsang, Dodo Cheng, Astrid Chan. 63 contestants from all over the world competed for the crown, marking the biggest turnout in the 48 years of the pageant, surpassing the previous of 61 during last year pageant. The contestants also paid a visit to Hong Kong, Tokyo. Miss International 2007, Priscila Perales of Mexico, crowned her successor Alejandra Andreu of Spain as the new Miss International. Miss Chinese International Pageant 2009
Miss Chinese International Pageant 2009 was held on January 17, 2009 in Foshan, China. The pageant is organized and broadcast by TVB in Hong Kong. Miss Chinese International 2008 Océane Zhu of Paris, France crowned her successor, Christine Kuo of Toronto, Ontario, Canada at the end of the event. Pageant information The slogan to this year's pageant is "Beauty • The Continuation of Wonderous Enchantment" 「妍 • 續奇妙風采」. This year holds the record for most delegates competing, besting the number from 1993 of 27 delegates. Although, 11 of the delegates this year represent Mainland China excluding the Special Administrative Regions Hong Kong and Macau. Miss World 2010, the 60th anniversary of the Miss World pageant, was held on 30 October 2010 at the Crown of Beauty Theatre in Sanya, China after Vietnam backed out of the hosting contract. 121 contestants from all over the world competed for the crown. Miss Earth 2011
Miss Earth 2011, the 11th edition of the Miss Earth pageant, was held on December 3, 2011 at the University of the Philippines Theater, inside the campus of the University of the Philippines Diliman in Quezon City, Philippines. Nicole Faria of India crowned her successor Olga Álava of Ecuador at the end of the event. The show was aired live by Channel V at 8:00 pm, while Star World broadcast on Sunday, 4 December at 6:00 pm, ABS-CBN and Studio 23 broadcast on the same day at 10:30 pm. There was also a delayed telecast of the show on The Filipino Channel and on the television stations of other participating countries. The pageant was originally scheduled to be held at the Impact, Muang Thong Thani in Bangkok, Thailand, however the pageant organizers decided to move the pageant back to the Philippines due to the 2011 Thailand floods. Miss International 2012
Miss International 2012, the 52nd Miss International pageant, was held on October 21, 2012 at Okinawa Prefectural Budokan Arena Building in Okinawa, Japan. Fernanda Cornejo from Ecuador crowned her successor Ikumi Yoshimatsu from Japan at the end of the event. Yoshimatsu was dethroned shortly before the end of her reign, but she was not replaced. She was ordered by The International Culture Association (Miss International organizer) to skip the succession ceremony and “play sick and shut up” out of fear of scandal.
