Miss Guadeloupe
Miss Guadeloupe is a French beauty pageant which selects a representative for the Miss France national competition from the overseas region of Guadeloupe. The first Miss Guadeloupe was crowned in 1937, although the pageant was not held regularly until 1977. The current Miss Guadeloupe is Moïra André, who was crowned Miss Guadeloupe 2024 on 15 September 2024, and finished 3rd runner-up at Miss France 2025. A beauty pageant is a competition in which the contestants are judged and ranked based on various physical and mental attributes. Per its name, beauty pageants traditionally focus on judging the contestants' physical attractiveness, sometimes solely so, but most modern beauty pageants have since expanded to also judge contestants based on "inner beauty"—their individual traits and characteristics, including personality, Human intelligence, intelligence, aptitude, moral character, and Charity (practice), charity. Miss World 2019
Miss World 2019 was the 69th edition of the Miss World pageant, held at the Exhibition Centre London in London, England, on 14 December 2019. At the end of the event, Vanessa Ponce of Mexico crowned Toni-Ann Singh of Jamaica as Miss World 2019. It is the fourth victory of Jamaica in the history of the pageant. Miss France 2019
Miss France 2019 was the 89th edition of the Miss France pageant, held on 15 December 2018 at the Zénith de Lille in Lille. The competition was hosted by Jean-Pierre Foucault, Sylvie Tellier, and Miss France 2018 Maëva Coucke, while singer and actress Line Renaud served as president of the jury. Maëva Coucke of Nord-Pas-de-Calais crowned her successor Vaimalama Chaves of Tahiti at the end of the event. Miss World 2023
Miss World 2023 was the 71st edition of the Miss World pageant, held at the Jio World Convention Centre in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, on 9 March 2024. At the end of the event, Krystyna Pyszková of the Czech Republic was crowned by the previous winner Karolina Bielawska of Poland. This is the second win by the Czech Republic at the pageant. Miss Universe 2021 was the 70th Miss Universe pageant, held at the Universe Dome in Eilat, Israel on 13 December 2021. At the end of the event, Harnaaz Sandhu of India was crowned Miss Universe 2021 by Andrea Meza of Mexico. Baie-Mahault (; ) is a commune in the overseas department and region of Guadeloupe, France. It is the second most populated commune of Guadeloupe, after Les Abymes. The extensive industrial zone of Jarry in Baie-Mahault is by far the most industrialized commune in the islands and the largest industrial park in the Lesser Antilles. It is part of the urban area of Pointe-à-Pitre, the largest metropolitan area in Guadeloupe, located in the northwest. The inhabitants of Baie-Mahault are called Baie-Mahaultiens. Miss France 2021
Miss France 2021 was the 91st edition of the Miss France pageant. The competition was held on 19 December 2020 at Puy du Fou in Les Epesses, Pays de la Loire. Clémence Botino of Guadeloupe crowned Amandine Petit of Normandy as her successor at the end of the event. Petit represented France at Miss Universe 2020. Despite only being the 91st edition, the 2021 edition was celebrated as the centenary of Miss France, as the competition was first held in 1920, before being paused from 1922 to 1926 and 1941–46, the latter due to World War II. Gourbeyre
Gourbeyre (; ) is a commune in the French overseas region and department of Guadeloupe, in the Lesser Antilles. It is a suburb of the city of Basse-Terre. The commune of Gourbeyre was in the past a pivotal point in the defense of Guadeloupe's Basse-Terre Island. Government From 1640 to 1643 the government of Guadeloupe consisted entirely of governor Aubert. The governor's house is regarded as the most beautiful in the commune of Gourbeyre. Charles Houël was named governor in 1648 and immediately began the construction of the Fort of Saint Charles on the right bank of the Galleon River. This moved the seat of government. Miss France 2022 was the 92nd edition of the Miss France pageant, held at the Zénith de Caen in Caen, Normandy, on 11 December 2021. Amandine Petit of Normandy crowned Diane Leyre of Île-de-France.
