Miss Dominica Queen is a national beauty pageant in Dominica. History Miss Dominica pageant was held for first time in 1978. Since that year Dominica made its mark in the Miss World competition and continued in 1985 competed in the Miss Universe competition. Throughout history, carnival queens from the small island of Dominica have proven that they are a force to be reckoned with in Caribbean pageantry. Miss World is the oldest existing international beauty pageant. It was created in the United Kingdom by Eric Morley in 1951.
