Miss Delaware USA
Miss Delaware USA is the pageant that selects the representative for the state of Delaware in the Miss USA pageant, and the name of the title held by its winner. The pageant is directed by V&M Productions. Delaware had not placed in Miss USA until 2015, where Renee Bull placed in the Top 10. This is additionally Delaware's first, most recent, and only placement. The current Miss Delaware USA is Alysa Bainbridge of Newark and was crowned on April 28, 2024 at Laird Performing Arts Center of The Tatnall School in Wilmington. Bainbridge represented Delaware at Miss USA 2024. Miss America
Miss America is an annual competition that is open to women from the United States between the ages of 18 and 28. Originating in 1921 as a "bathing beauty revue", the contest is judged on competition segments with scoring percentages: ''Private Interview'' (30%) – a 10-minute press conference-style interview with a panel of judges, ''On Stage Question'' (10%) – answering a judge's question onstage, ''Talent or HER Story'' (20%) – a performance talent or 90 second speech, ''Health and Fitness'' (20%) – demonstrated physical fitness onstage dressed in athletic wear, and ''Evening Gown'' (20%) – modeling evening-wear onstage. Miss Delaware Teen USA
The Miss Delaware Teen USA competition is the pageant that selects the representative for the state of Delaware in the Miss Teen USA pageant. It was formerly directed by Crown Productions from 1993 to 2007, then by D&D Productions from 2007 to 2018. CW Productions became the new directors for the pageant starting in 2019. In 2020, CW Productions was terminated. The license to produce the 2021 state pageants was awarded to V&M Productions, LLC into the directorship of Vincenza Carrieri-Russo. This is only the second time that the pageant is produced by a former Miss Delaware USA. The current titleholder is Ava MacMurray of Hockessin and she was crowned on April 3, 2022 at Laird Performing Arts Center in The Tatnall School in Wilmington. Miss USA 2012
Miss USA 2012 was the 61st Miss USA pageant, held on June 3, 2012, at The AXIS, located inside the Planet Hollywood Las Vegas in Paradise, Nevada, and it was televised live on NBC. Alyssa Campanella of California crowned her successor Olivia Culpo of Rhode Island at the end of the event. This was Rhode Island's first Miss USA title. Culpo represented the United States at Miss Universe 2012 six months later and went on to win the Miss Universe title, becoming the eighth American to do so. After Olivia Culpo won Miss Universe 2012, as a customary, first runner-up Nana Meriwether of Maryland inherited the Miss USA title and was officially crowned on January 9, 2013. Miss USA 2013 was the 62nd Miss USA pageant, held on June 16, 2013 at The AXIS in Paradise, Nevada. The 50 states and the Miss District of Columbia USA, District of Columbia competed for the title and the pageant was televised live on NBC. Outgoing titleholder Nana Meriwether of Miss Maryland USA, Maryland crowned her successor Erin Brady of Miss Connecticut USA, Connecticut at the end of the event. Miss USA 2014 was the 63rd Miss USA pageant, held at the Baton Rouge River Center Arena in Baton Rouge, Louisiana on June 8, 2014. All fifty states and the District of Columbia competed. The preliminary competition was not webcast live for the first time in five years, but excerpts were distributed post-competition via website Hulu. Miss USA 2016 was the 65th Miss USA pageant, held at the T-Mobile Arena in Paradise, Nevada, on June 5, 2016.
