Mising Baptist Kebang
Mising Baptist Kebang (MBK) is a Baptist churches convention based in Assam, India. It has six associations and is spread across six districts of Assam. It is an associate member of the Council of Baptist Churches in Northeast India, and has over 116 churches affiliated under MBK with 4,300 members. The MBK is made primarily of Mishing people, an indigenous ethnic group of Assam. The MBK mission center is at Moinapara, Gogamukh in Dhemaji District of Assam state. History Mising Baptist Kébang (Convention) was established in 2005 by leaders of various Mising Baptist Churches in Assam as a network organization for all the Mising Baptist Churches. The Mission Secretary of ouncil of Baptist Churches in Northeast India(CBCNEI), Rev. Dr. Dusanü Venyo and General Secretary of CBCNEI Rev. The Boro Baptist Church Association (BBCA) is a Baptist Christian denomination in the state of Assam (Northeast India). Established in 1927 by the American Baptist Missionaries and later nurtured by Australian Baptist Missionary Society ABMS (now Global Interaction). The BBCA has its headquarters in the Tukrajhar Baptist Mission compound in Chirang district of Bodoland, Assam. Manipur Baptist Convention
Manipur Baptist Convention (MBC) is a Baptist Christian denomination in Manipur, India. It is affiliated with the Council of Baptist Churches in Northeast India and the Asia Pacific Baptist Federation (Baptist World Alliance). The General Secretary of the Manipur Baptist Convention is REV. K. LOSII MAO. History Missionary from the American Baptist Mission arrived in Manipur in 1896. The first converts the missionary had were Tangkhul Nagas with the help of A. Porom Singh. They in turn converted neighboring ethnic tribes to Christianity. In 1896 A. Porom Singh became the first Meitei convert and he was also the first Christian in Manipur. The Nagaland Baptist Church Council is a Baptist Christian denomination based in Nagaland, India. It is affiliated with the Council of Baptist Churches in Northeast India and the Asia Pacific Baptist Federation (Baptist World Alliance). Garo Baptist Convention
Garo Baptist Convention is a Baptist Christian denomination of India and Bangladesh. It is named after the ethnic group of the name Garo. Most members of this church are in Meghalaya. In Bangladesh the central office of the GBC is located in Birishiri under the Durgapur Upazila of Netrokona District. It is affiliated with the Council of Baptist Churches in Northeast India and the Asia Pacific Baptist Federation (Baptist World Alliance). Rabha Baptist Convention
The Rabha people are a Tibeto-Burmese ethnic group who live mostly in the Northeast Indian state of Assam, with a lesser population in the adjacent state of West Bengal. They primarily inhabit the plains of Lower Assam and the Dooars, while some are found in the Garo Hills. Outside of India, they have a presence in Bhutan, with communities in nine districts. Most of the Rabhas of Dooars refer to themselves as Rabha, but some of them often declare themselves as Kocha.
