Misheck Chidzambwa
Misheck Chidzambwa (née Marimo; 1954/1955 – 24 June 2021) was a Zimbabwean football player and manager. Early and personal life His older brother Sunday was also a footballer. Their original surname was Marimo. Playing career Chidzambwa played as a defender for Dynamos. He served as captain of the national team, captaining them to the Cecafa Senior Challenge Cup in 1985. He combined his football career with working for the police. He retired in 1987 due to injury. Coaching career Chidzambwa was on Clemens Westerhof's coaching staff when he was manager of the Zimbabwe national team. He succeeded Westerhof as manager in 2000, winning the Cosafa Cup. He also managed club sides Tanganda, Chapungu United, Sporting Lions and Blue Ribbon. With Tanganda he won the Castle Cup in 1993. He was fired by Blue Ribbon in 2011, and left football. Sunday Chidzambwa
Sunday Marimo Chidzambwa is a Zimbabwean association football coach and former player. Early and personal life He was born in Enkeldoorn. He is nicknamed "Mhofu" in Zimbabwe. His younger brother Misheck was also a Zimbabwean international player who later became a coach. Career Marimo played as a defender for Dynamos, with whom he won five league championships. He also played at international level for Zimbabwe, appearing in a FIFA World Cup qualifying match in 1980. After retiring as a player, he went on to manage Dynamos, the Zimbabwe national team (in 2004 at the 2004 African Cup of Nations and 2007), and South African team Umtata Bush Bucks, where he was unable to take up the position because he lost his passport; he was replaced by Clemens Westerhof. Clemens Westerhof
Clemens Westerhof (born 3 May 1940) is a Dutch football manager, who has worked in various football positions on the African continent since 1989. He is most noted for his success with the Nigerian national team. Under Westerhof, the Super Eagles won the 1994 African Cup of Nations and also qualified for the second round of the FIFA World Cup that year. Westerhof began his career as an assistant coach in Feyenoord in the Dutch Eredivisie. He has also coached Vitesse Arnhem, the Zimbabwean national team, the Sporting Lions of Zimbabwe's Premier League, and the Bush Bucks and Mamelodi Sundowns of South Africa's Premier Soccer League. In addition, he has served as technical director of the Harare-based Agatha Sheneti Youth Academy and also of the Harare United club, which was linked to the academy.
