Mirrabooka Avenue
Mirrabooka Avenue is a major north-south road located in the northern suburbs of Perth, Western Australia. It is a four-lane dual carriageway for its entire length. It mainly passes through residential areas, as well as industrial areas on the northern end of the road in Landsdale. On the southern end, it is continuous with Nollamara Avenue. On the northern end, it is continuous with Gnangara Road, which meets up with Ocean Reef Road and state route 84. History In 2010, construction started on a diamond interchange for the junction of Reid Highway and Mirrabooka Avenue to improve safety and efficiency. Between 1999 and 2009, there were 400 crashes at the intersection, resulting in 4 fatalities and 38 serious injuries. In 2011, the work was completed. Westminster, Western Australia
Westminster is a suburb approximately 12 kilometres north of Perth, Western Australia. Its local government area is the City of Stirling. Westminster was formerly the southern part of Balga but was renamed in 1995 at the request of residents. This was the name of the original estate that existed before residential subdivision. Between 1936 and 1955, a limestone road named "Westminster Boulevard" passed through the area. Westminster is served by a small shopping centre, Stirling Central. Hepburn Avenue is an arterial east-west road in the northern suburbs of Perth, Western Australia. The road links Sorrento in the west with Malaga and Whiteman in the east. It also connects the residential developments that span its length with several local facilities, as well as major road routes into central Perth. Koondoola is a suburb of Perth, Western Australia, located within the City of Wanneroo. Its postcode is 6064. Most of Koondoola's infrastructure was built in the 1970s. The City of Wanneroo is a local government area with city status in the northern suburbs of Perth, Western Australia. It is centred approximately north of Perth's central business district and forms part of the northern boundary of the Perth metropolitan area. A diamond interchange is a common type of road junction, used where a controlled-access highway crosses a minor road. Design The freeway itself is grade-separated from the minor road, one crossing the other over a bridge.
