Mirosław Pych
Mirosław Pych (born 15 March 1972 in Słubice) is a Paralympic Track and field, athlete from Poland competing mainly in category P12 pentathlon events. He competed in the 1992 Summer Paralympics in Barcelona, Spain. There he won a gold medal in the men's Pentathlon - B2 event, a bronze medal in the men's 100 metres - B2 event and finished fourth in the men's Javelin throw - B2 event. He also competed at the 1996 Summer Paralympics in Atlanta, United States. There he won a gold medal in the men's Pentathlon - P11 event, a gold medal in the men's Javelin throw - F11 event, a silver medal in the men's 100 metres - T11 event and finished eighth in the men's Long jump - F11 event. Paralympic Athletics
Para-athletics is the sport of athletics practiced by people with a disability as a disabled sports, parasport. The list of athletics events, athletics events within the parasport are mostly the same as those available to able-bodied people, with two major exceptions in wheelchair racing and the club throw, which are specific to the division. 2012 IPC Athletics European Championships
The 2012 IPC Athletics European Championships was a track and field competition for athletes with a disability open to International Paralympic Committee (IPC) affiliated countries within Europe. It was held in Stadskanaal, Netherlands and lasted from 23 to 28 June. The event was held in the Stadskanaal Stadium and was the last major European disability athletics event before the forthcoming 2012 Summer Paralympics in London. Approximately 550 athletes from 38 countries attended the games. Several countries used the Championships to finalise the remaining places for the Paralympics. Track and field (or athletics in British English) is a sport that includes Competition#Sports, athletic contests based on running, jumping, and throwing skills.
