Miroslav Petković
Miroslav Petković ( sr-Cyrl, Мирослав Петковић; born 12 August 1968) is a politician in Serbia. He was a member of the National Assembly of Serbia from 2004 to 2014, serving with the Democratic Party of Serbia (''Demokratska stranka Srbije'', DSS). He joined the Serbian Progressive Party (''Srpska napredna stranka'', SNS) in 2019 and is now an assistant mayor of Čačak. Early life and private career Petković was born in Čačak, in what was then the Socialist Republic of Serbia in the Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia. He is a graduate of the University of Belgrade Faculty of Law and has worked for the company ''Niskogradnja''. Politician Parliamentarian Petković received the forty-fifth position on the DSS's electoral list in the 2003 Serbian parliamentary election. 2008 Serbian Parliamentary Election
Parliamentary elections were held in Serbia on 11 May 2008 to elect members of the National Assembly of Serbia, National Assembly. The election was held barely a year after the 2007 Serbian parliamentary election, previous parliamentary election. There were 6,749,886 eligible electors who were able to vote in 8,682 voting places, as well as 157 special voting stations for refugees from Kosovo. 2020 Serbian Local Elections
Local elections were held in most cities and municipalities of Serbia (excluding the Status of Kosovo, disputed territory of Kosovo) on 21 June 2020, with repeat voting later taking place in some communities. The elections were held concurrently with the 2020 Serbian parliamentary election and the 2020 Vojvodina provincial election. Elections on all three levels were initially scheduled for 26 April 2020 but were rescheduled due to the COVID-19 pandemic in Serbia, COVID-19 pandemic in the country. The elections were held concurrently with the 2016 Serbian parliamentary election and the 2016 Vojvodina provincial election. United Serbia (, abbr. JS) is a national-conservative political party in Serbia. It split from the Party of Serbian Unity in 2004. Parliamentary elections were held in Serbia on 24 April 2016. Initially, the election were originally due to be held by March 2018, but on 17 January 2016 Prime Minister of Serbia, Prime Minister Aleksandar Vučić called for a snap election claiming Serbia "needs four more years of stability so that it is ready to Accession of Serbia to the European Union, join the European Union". Dveri
The Serbian Movement Dveri (), commonly just known as Dveri (), is a nationalist and right-wing populist political party in Serbia. Its current president since 2024 is Ivan Kostić, who succeeded Boško Obradović, one of the co-founders of the party. Formed as a youth-orientated political organisation in 1999, it published an eponymous student magazine that promoted clerical and nationalist content. Through the 2000s, it operated as a non-governmental organisation that campaigned in favour of Christian right views, that included opposition to abortion and opposition to gay rights. 2014 Serbian Parliamentary Election
Parliamentary elections were held in Serbia on 16 March 2014, with nineteen electoral lists competing for 250 members of the National Assembly. The election was called early, after tensions in the coalition led by the ruling Serbian Progressive Party (SNS) and Socialist Party of Serbia (SPS). President of Serbia Tomislav Nikolić scheduled the election at the same time as the previously announced Belgrade City Assembly election. Voter turnout was 53.09%, with 3.22% of votes invalid.
