Miroslav Glavaš
Miroslav Glavaš ( sr-cyr, Мирослав Главаш; born 4 March 1951) is a politician in Serbia. He was briefly recognized as a member of the National Assembly of Serbia in 2002. Private career Glavaš is a private entrepreneur. He is from the village of Gajdobra in the municipality of Bačka Palanka, Vojvodina. Politician In the 2000 Serbian parliamentary election, Glavaš received the 220nd position out of 250 on the electoral list of the Democratic Opposition of Serbia (DOS), a broad and ideologically diversion coalition opposed to the authoritarian rule of former president Slobodan Milošević. At the time, Glavaš was a member of the League of Social Democrats of Vojvodina (''Liga socijaldemokrata Vojvodine'', LSV). Democratic Party Of Serbia
The New Democratic Party of Serbia (, , abbr. NDSS), known as the Democratic Party of Serbia (DSS) until 2022, is a national-conservative political party in Serbia. Miloš Jovanović serves as the current president of NDSS. DSS was formed as a conservative split from the Democratic Party (DS) and has played a key role in the opposition during the 1990s. It was a part of the "Together" coalition and was later a founding member of the Democratic Opposition of Serbia (DOS). Its first leader, Vojislav Koštunica, was elected president of Yugoslavia in 2000, a role which he served until 2003. Serbian Renewal Movement
The Serbian Renewal Movement (, abbr. SPO) is a liberal and monarchist political party in Serbia. It was founded in 1990 by writer Vuk Drašković, who served as the party's president until 2024. Aleksandar Cvetković is the incumbent leader. History Formation Vuk Drašković was a writer for most of his life and he particularly became known in the 1980s due to his nationalist-themed books. He formed the Saint Sava Association in 1989 with Mirko Jović, Vojislav Šešelj, and Veljko Guberina, which sought to promote nationalism in Vojvodina. Local elections were held in Serbia on 11 May 2008, concurrently with the 2008 Serbian parliamentary election and the 2008 Vojvodina provincial election. A re-vote was held at three poling stations in Belgrade on 18 May 2008 due to irregularities in the voting process. 2004 Serbian Local Elections
Local elections were held in Serbia (excluding Kosovo) on 19 September and 3 October 2004, concurrently with the 2004 Vojvodina provincial election. This was the only local election cycle held while Serbia was a member of the State Union of Serbia and Montenegro. The 2004 local elections were the first regular local elections held in Serbia after the fall of Slobodan Milošević in October 2000, and the voting procedure was significantly different from that used in the previous cycle.
