Miro Little
Miro Little (born 30 May 2004) is a Finnish college basketball player who plays for UC Santa Barbara Gauchos in Big West Conference. He previously played for the Utah Utes and the Baylor Bears. Little also represents the Finland national team. Early career Little started to play basketball in a youth team of his hometown club Tampereen Pyrintö. He joined Helsinki Basketball Academy in 2019 and played with HBA-Märsky in Finnish second tier Koripallon I-divisioona. In 2022, he played at the Adidas Next Generation tournament with HBA in Patras, Greece, averaging 23.0 points, 8.2 rebounds and 4.2 assists over four games. Later in the same year, he moved to United States to attend Sunrise Christian Academy high school. Point Guard
The point guard (PG), also called the one or the point, is one of the Basketball positions, five positions in a regulation basketball game. A point guard has perhaps the most specialized role of any position and is usually the shortest player on the court. Point guards are expected to control the pace of the game. They effectively "run" the team's offense by controlling the ball and making sure that it gets to the right player at the right time. Generally, point guards are expected to be proficient in passing the ball and being able to get Assist (basketball), assists to teammates. 2024 FIBA Men's Olympic Qualifying Tournaments – Valencia
The 2024 FIBA Men's Olympic Qualifying Tournament in Valencia was one of four 2024 FIBA Men's Olympic Qualifying Tournaments. The tournament was held at Valencia, Spain, from 2 to 7 July 2024. Six teams participated in two groups of three teams, where the first-and second-placed teams qualified for the semifinals. 2023 FIBA Basketball World Cup
The 2023 FIBA Basketball World Cup was the 19th tournament of the FIBA Basketball World Cup for men's national basketball teams, held from 25 August to 10 September 2023. The tournament was the second to feature 32 teams and was hosted by multiple nations for the first time in its history—the Philippines, Japan, and Indonesia. EuroBasket 2022
The EuroBasket 2022 was the 41st edition of the EuroBasket championship organized by FIBA Europe. It was the first since it was agreed it would take place every four years, with a similar system of qualification as for the FIBA Basketball World Cup. It was originally scheduled to take place between 2 and 19 September 2021, but due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the subsequent postponement of the 2020 Summer Olympics to 2021, it was postponed to September 2022. Like the previous two editions, the tournament was co-hosted by four countries. Games in the group stage were held in the Czech Republic, Georgia, Germany, and Italy. The knock-out phase was played in Berlin, Germany. Teemu Rannikko
Teemu Rannikko (born September 9, 1980) is a Finnish former professional basketball player and currently working as an assistant coach of Finland national team. He is 1.89 m (6' 2 ") tall, and he weighs 88 kg (195 lbs.). He mainly played at the point guard position. At his peak, he was known as a good scorer and a steady defender. Professional career Born in Turku, Finland, Rannikko made his breakthrough when he transferred to Scavoloni Pesaro, in 2004–05, and he made his EuroLeague debut that season.
