Mirjam Sterk
Willemina Roziena Catharina "Mirjam" Sterk (born 23 May 1973) is a Dutch former politician, civil servant, NH editor, and educator. As a member of the Christian Democratic Appeal she was a member of the House of Representatives from 23 May 2002 (on maternity leave from 8 April to 29 July 2008, replaced by Sabine Uitslag) until 19 September 2012. She focused on matters of integration policy and social affairs. Since 9 February 2022, she has been a member of the provincial executive of Utrecht. Life Sterk is a member of the Protestant Church in the Netherlands (PKN) and studied theology at Utrecht University. She is married and has three children. From May 2002 to September 2012 she was a member of the House of Representatives. Following the controversial deportation of Roma migrants from France in 2010, Sterk advocated the deportation of Romani from the Netherlands. The deportation of Roma migrants from France was subject of intense political debate in France and internationally in 2009 and 2010. After two fatal incidents, President of France Nicolas Sarkozy vowed in July 2010 to evict at least half of the 539 Roma squatting in land camps. The Government of France initiated a program to repatriate thousands of Romanian and Bulgarian Roma, as part of the crackdown. Between July and September 2010, at least 51 Roma camps were demolished, and France has repatriated at least 1,230 Roma to Romania and Bulgaria. Hendrik "Henri" Bontenbal (; born 10 November 1982) is a Dutch politician and energy consultant who has served in the House of Representatives (Netherlands), House of Representatives since January 2022. He has been the Leader of the Christian Democratic Appeal, leader of the Christian Democratic Appeal (CDA) since August 2023. Before he became a member of parliament, Bontenbal worked in the energy sector and advised the CDA on energy issues.
