Miria is a Communes of Mali, commune in the Sikasso Cercle, Cercle of Sikasso in the Sikasso Region of southern Mali. The principal town lies at Doumanani. The commune covers an area of 231 square kilometers and includes five villages.. In the 2009 census it had a population of 8,226. Miria, Niger
Mirriah is a town and urban commune in Niger. Geography Mirriah is located in the Sahel region, around 20 kilometres from the regional capital of Zinder. Mirriah's neighbouring municipalities are Gaffati to the north-west, Zermou to the north-east, Hamdara to the east, Wacha to the south-east, Gouna to the south-west and Kolléram to the west. The municipality lies at an average altitude of 400 metres in a sandy lowland with a very low gradient. The municipality of Mirriah consists of an urban and a rural area. The urban municipality is divided into 16 neighbourhoods. These are called Ali Kader, Bakari, Camp de Garde, Dilari, Galadima, Kofal Bey, Makéra, Marafa, Marina, Quartier Administratif, Sabon Gari, Sarkin Makafi, Tchébani Boukari, Tchédia, Tchinkassari and Torawa. Mīria George
Mīria George (born 1980) is a New Zealand writer, producer and director of Māori and Cook Island descent. Best known for being the author of award-winning stage plays, George has also written radio, television and poetry, and was one of the film directors of the portmanteau film ''Vai''. In November 2005, she won the Emerging Pacific Artist's Award at the Arts Pasifika Awards. Mīria George was the first Cook Islands artist to receive the Fulbright-Creative New Zealand Pacific Writer's Residency at the University of Hawai'i. Miria Rukoza Koburunga Matembe (born 26 August 1953) is a Ugandan lawyer, politician, gender equality advocate and a senior citizen. In June 2006, she became a Reagan-Fascell Democracy Fellow with the National Endowment for Democracy. Early life Matembe was born on 28 August 1953 in Bwizibwera, Kashaari, Mbarara to Samwiri Rukoza and Eseza Kajwengye. She is the fourth-born of nine children (five boys and four girls). Miria Obote (née Kalule; born 16 July 1936) is a Ugandan politician who was first lady of Uganda, and widow of former Prime Minister and President Milton Obote. She was a candidate in the 2006 Ugandan general election. Background and Education Miria Kalule was born in Kawempe, to Bulasio Kalule, a civil servant who worked with the Department of Road Maintenance in the Ministry of Works and his wife Malita.
