Miquèu Tronc
Miquèu Tronc (in French language ''Michel Tronc'') was a 16th-century Occitan language writer from Provence. He was born in Salon-de-Provence and is the author of ''Las Humours à la lourguino''. According to Occitan critic and writer Robèrt Lafont, he may have led a team of Occitan poets called ''La Manada'' who may have challenged Louis Bellaud's team (''Los Arqins''). French Language

Occitan Language
Occitan (; ), also known by its native speakers as (; ), sometimes also referred to as Provençal, is a Romance language spoken in Southern France, Monaco, Italy's Occitan Valleys, as well as Spain's Val d'Aran in Catalonia; collectively, these regions are sometimes referred to as Occitania. It is also spoken in Calabria ( Southern Italy) in a linguistic enclave of Cosenza area (mostly Guardia Piemontese) named Gardiol, which is also considered a separate Occitanic language. Salon-de-Provence (, ; or , ), commonly known as Salon, is a commune located about northwest of Marseille in the Bouches-du-Rhône department (Metropolis of Aix-Marseille Provence), region of Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur, Southern France. Robèrt Lafont
Robèrt Lafont (; March 16, 1923 in Nîmes – June 24, 2009 in Florence) was a French intellectual from Provence. He was a linguist, an author, an historian, an expert in literature and a political theoretician. His name in French reads Robert Lafont. Biography Robèrt Lafont was professor emeritus at the Paul-Valéry University of Montpellier. A professional linguist, he was a polyglot, novelist, poet, playwright, essayist and a medievalist. A versatile writer, Lafont wrote nearly a hundred books in Occitan, French, Catalan and Italian. The wide scope of themes he explores includes the history of literature and of society, linguistics and sociolinguistics and the social-economic imbalance in France and Europe. Louis Bellaud
Louis Bellaud also known as Bellaud de la Bellaudière (1543–1588) was an Occitan language writer and poet from Provence. Biography Bellaud was born in Grasse, the son of a nobleman who then settled in Aix-en-Provence, where he received his education. During his youth he was a friend of Charles and Michel de Nostredame, sons of Nostradamus. During the War of Religion he served in the Royal army. When he was dismissed, after a brief period of peace, he tried to travel by sea departing from Bordeaux. Nevertheless, he had to serve again; after which he tried to return to Provence in 1578. He was then arrested in Moulin and remained imprisoned for 20 month and here he wrote nostalgic poems of his youth in his native language.
