Minority Report (video Game)
''Minority Report: Everybody Runs'' is a 2002 third-person shooter beat 'em up video game based on the 2002 film ''Minority Report''. It was developed for the PlayStation 2, GameCube, and Xbox by Treyarch, and for the Game Boy Advance by Torus Games, and published by Activision. A Microsoft Windows version of the game was also planned but was cancelled. The game is a loose adaptation of the film, following the story of John Anderton investigating a conspiracy involving his future murder of Roy Verhagen, an original character created for the game, replacing Leo Crow from the film. Several of the film's cast were replaced for the game, with Clancy Brown and Quinton Flynn replacing Tom Cruise and Colin Farrell as Anderton and Danny Witwer, respectively. The game received mixed to negative reviews from critics, who criticized the repetitive gameplay and bland visuals, but the physics, destructible environments and sound effects received some praise. Clarence John "Clancy" Brown III (born January 5, 1959) is an American actor. Prolific in film and television since the 1980s, Brown is often cast in villainous and authoritative roles. ''Spider-Man'' is a 2002 action-adventure game based on the 2002 film of the same name. It was released for the PlayStation 2, Xbox, GameCube, Microsoft Windows, and Game Boy Advance on April 16, 2002, in North America (two weeks before the film's release), and June 7 in Europe. The Game Boy Advance version was later re-released and bundled on Twin Pack cartridge with ''Spider-Man 2'' in 2005. A jet pack, rocket belt, or rocket pack is a device worn on the back which uses jets of gas or liquid to propel the wearer through the air. The concept has been present in science fiction for almost a century and became widespread in the 1960s. Real jet packs have been developed using a variety of mechanisms, but their uses are much more limited than their fictional counterparts because of the challenges of the Earth's atmosphere, gravity, the low energy density of utilisable fuels, and the human body not being suited to flight, and they are principally used for stunts. Ragdoll physics is a type of procedural animation used by physics engines, which is often used as a replacement for traditional static death animations in video games and animated films. As computers increased in power, it became possible to do limited real-time physical simulations, which made death animations more realistic. Early video games used manually created animations for a character’s death sequences. This had the advantage of low CPU utilization, as the data needed to animate a "dying" character was chosen from a set number of pre-drawn frames. In contrast, a ragdoll is a collection of multiple rigid bodies (each of which is ordinarily tied to a bone in the graphics engine's skeletal animation system) tied together by a system of constraints that restrict how the bones may move relative to each other.
