The Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Serbia ( sr, Министарство финансија, Ministarstvo finansija) is the ministry in the Government of Serbia in charge of finances. The current minister is Siniša Mali, who is in office from 29 May 2018. Ministry's headquarters are located in the Ministry of Finance of Serbia Building. History The new ministry was established on 11 February 1991. The Ministry of Industry which existed from 1991 to 2001, was merged into the Ministry of Finance. Luka Mitrović ( sr-cyrl, Лука Митровић; born 21 March 1993) is a Serbian professional basketball player for Crvena zvezda of the Serbian KLS, the Adriatic League and the EuroLeague. Standing at , he plays at the power forward and center positions. Mitrović was the final selection of the 2015 NBA draft. The current minister is Rade Basta, in office since 26 October 2022. History The Ministry of Economy was established on 3 March 2004 after the dissolution of the Ministry of Privatization and Economic Reconstruction which existed from 1991 to 2004. The Ministry of Foreign Economic Relations which existed from 1991 to 2007, merged into the Ministry of Economy and Regional Development in 2007. Over the years, it has changed many secondary areas of its jurisdiction. The Serbian Renewal Movement ( sr-cyrl, Српски покрет обнове, Srpski pokret obnove, SPO) is a liberal and monarchist political party in Serbia. History The Serbian Renewal Movement party was founded in 1990 through the merger of Drašković's faction from the Serbian National Renewal (SNO) party and Vojislav Šešelj's Serbian Freedom Movement. Šešelj left the party in 1991 after internal quarrels and founded the Serbian Radical Party. It was initially aligned with national conservatism and supported the territorial expansion of Serbia. The Democratic Movement of Serbia was formed in May 1992 as a political alliance made up primarily of SPO, New Democracy (ND), Democratic Party of Serbia (DSS). Veroljub "Verko" Stevanović ( sr, Верољуб Верко Стевановић, born 17 September 1946, Kragujevac, FPR Yugoslavia) is a Serbian politician who served as the mayor of Kragujevac from 1996 to 2000 and again from 2004 to 2014. Biography Stevanović graduated from the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, University of Kragujevac in City of Kragujevac. The Serbian Radical Party ( sr-cyrl, Српска радикална странка, Srpska radikalna stranka, ''SRS'') is an ultranationalist political party in Serbia. It was founded in 1991, and its founder and current leader is Vojislav Šešelj. The SRS was founded in 1991 as a merger of two minor right-wing parties whose leaders were Vojislav Šešelj and Tomislav Nikolić. They later became the President and Deputy President of the party respectively. During the first half of the 1990s, the SRS supported the ruling Socialist Party of Serbia regime, which had contributed greatly to the rise of SRS through the use of media.
