Milton Kelly
Milton Kelly (September 9, 1818 – April 9, 1892) was an American lawyer, politician, jurist and newspaper editor who served on the Idaho Territorial Supreme Court from 1865 to 1870, and as owner and editor of the ''Idaho Statesman'' from 1871 to 1889. Biography Kelly was born on September 9, 1818, in Onondaga County, New York, the son of a farmer. He was educated in Bloomfield, New York, before relocating to Ohio, and then Wisconsin, where he was a merchant, studied law, and was admitted to the bar around 1845. In 1843, he married Connecticut native Lois Eliza Humphrey, and they would have four children. After prominently practicing law there, he moved to West in 1861, first to California, then to Auburn, Oregon, where he engaged in the transportation business between that town and Placerville, which would become part of the Idaho Territory in 1863. Idaho Supreme Court
The Idaho Supreme Court is the state supreme court of Idaho and is composed of the chief justice and four associate judge, justices. The decisions of the Idaho Supreme Court are binding on all other Idaho State court (United States), state courts. The only court that may reverse or modify its decisions is the Supreme Court of the United States. The court moved into its present building in 1970; it was previously housed in the nearby Idaho State Capitol, state capitol building. Table Rock (Ada County, Idaho)
Table Rock is a mountain pillar in the western United States, located just south-east of downtown Boise, Idaho, in the foothills of the Boise Range of the Rocky Mountains. Its summit elevation of above sea level is above the city center. Located between downtown Boise and the foothills, Table Rock has multiple caves and ledges and overlooks the Treasure Valley. A prominent local landmark, it is a popular spot for day hiking from the Old State Penitentiary which offers access to views of the Treasure Valley, Owyhee Mountains, and the Boise Foothills themselves. Rocky Bar, Idaho
Rocky Bar is a ghost town in Elmore County, Idaho, United States. At its height in the late 19th century Rocky Bar boasted a population of over 2,500 and served as county seat of Alturas County from 1864 to 1882. It was also the original county seat of Elmore County when it was created in 1889. Rocky Bar was founded in December 1863 soon after gold was discovered along the nearby Feather River. Within two years it became the main settlement in the area and was even considered as a possible capital for Idaho Territory. Although the town was rebuilt after the 1892 fire, it began a slow decline. Rocky Bar has not had a permanent population since the 1960s. Rocky Bar is located 62 miles northeast of Mountain Home.
